Anis growled and jumped out of my arms. Her tiny teeth clamped down on Camio's hand with all the strength her little body could muster. Camio yelped in shock, instinctively loosening his grip on us for a brief moment.
Mariah kicked him while I pulled Anis away before he could punch her head in.
Camio growled in frustration, his eyes flashing with anger as he staggered back from Mariah's kick. His composure cracked for a brief moment, revealing the simmering rage beneath his facade. He glared at us, his expression a mix of disbelief and fury.
Black flames jouted out of his hands, instantly covering the entire ship in flames. I thought I would be in as much pain as my dad, but the flames failed to touch me.
