He found himself surrounded by flowers. There was a temple standing proudly amidst the flower with its doors wide open. He instinctively approched the temple but an invisible barrier prevented him from entering.
As he turned around, he saw her appearing out nowhere. Flowers around her couldnot compare with her beauty at all. She walked towards the temple and entered as if the barrier didnot exist at all. As she entered the temple, he saw a red thread connecting them but as she goes futher into the temple the red thread gradually got thinner. As she reached the centre, she stopped walking and sat down to meditate. He just stood there outside watching her silently for a long time. At some point 2 figures of a girl and a boy appeared and laid down on her lap. She looked at them with a soft, loving eyes as if they were her world. He looked at the scene infront of him holding his breath as if his breathing would destroy that beautiful picture.
Suddenly, that beautiful picture shattered and he could hear his phone ringing.
He woke up in daze and found himself at the hospital beside Aahilya. As he glanced around his eyes landed on her belongings and among them were a pair of silver ring, one with royal blue stone and other with blood red stone. His resentment towards those rings could be seen in his eyes. He held her hands and found them to be ice cold. He rubbed her hand in an attempt to warm her hand. He continued doing so until the phone rang again. He picked up the phone kept it on speaker and continued rubbing her hand.

Ethan!!! where are you?? The clan meeting starts in 15 minutes.

He explained the current situation to his mother.
His mother, Indira Joshua is the current madam of the clan. She was the one who proposed the engagement between Ethan and Aahilya. She watched Aahilya grow up from an infant to an adorable teen and raised her to be a mature young lady. She loved and regarded her as her own daughter. Indira knew Aahilya was deeply affected by her parents death so she made sure her every need and demand were fulfilled. She taught her everything she knew. She hoped Aahilya would be a better hostess than herself. But it seemed like fate had other plans.
As soon as Aahilya's parents passed away there were multiple proposal to remove Aahilya from her position as the heir's fiancee. But the clan leader refused the proposal and declared that the engagement shall only be terminated by mutual agreement of Ethan and Aahilya. Since then nobody brought up termination of engagement at all. Things seemed peaceful on the surface but that was not the case at all.
Okay!! you don't have to attend today's meeting.

The call ended. He continued rubbing her hand in daze.
It was autumn back then. Leaves had just started to change colours. Ethan and Aahilya were taking a walk in the garden. As usual she was talking and he was staring at her with eyes full of affection. Suddenly a gust of wind came by and blew her hair. He reached out to tame her hair. He spoke as he played with her long black hair,
It's your birthday soon. What do you want as a gift??
She looked straight into his eyes and said," I want you!!"
He was flustered by her answer but kept his calm face and said," No! seriously what gift do you want!!"
She saw his ears turning red and said with a satisfied smile," You know It's few months away right."
Of course i know but 18th birthday gift must be precious even if you don't celebrate your birthday at all.
