Alexander's heart was pounding uncontrollably as he hurried out of the room. He hadn't meant to leave so suddenly, but her words had made him flustered for some strange reason.
He couldn't think properly when he was around Auralia. Which Alexander couldn't understand either. He'd always been fine with her presence, even with their few mishaps.
They were respectful of each other's space and were mostly friendly, even bantering at times. Sure their relationship was mostly contractual, but Alexander wouldn't mind them being friends.
He enjoyed their time together and was beginning to care for Auralia, as much as he didn't want to admit it. Because that would only make things complicated.
And he didn't need unwanted feelings causing problems in the future…
Fuck! I'm an idiot… Alexander grumbled to himself, aimlessly wandering through the resort. Why did I have to leave like that? Now things are going to be awkward.
