Chapter 130 - Ch 123: Erik Vs Odin

Erik turned his attention to the giant golden shield surrounding the golden palace. It shimmered and crackled, keeping anyone from getting through.

"Hmm… Strange's portals won't work inside this thing," he muttered, his sharp eyes narrowing. "This is powered by the Space Stone. Ultron used something like this once to protect the Infinity Stones. Back then, I used Beelzebuth to bust through… but maybe I'll try something different this time."

He floated closer and placed his hands on it. The shield pushed back, trying to throw him off, but Erik didn't even budge.

Erik lowered his chin, eyes locked on the glowing barrier surrounding the royal palace.

"Shield," he called out calmly.

A faint, translucent bubble formed around the Asgardian shield, engulfing it completely.

Erik recalled how he created this skill for himself. He had crafted this ability by learning barrier magic from the 'Am I Actually the Strongest?' world and upgrading it with tonnes of other Ancient magic.

"—Domain," he whispered, summoning his reality-altering skill. Another upgrade of the same magical skill.

'How would the mighty Space Stone's shield hold against my power?' Erik smirked at the thought.

Cindy, perched on a defense tower, surveyed the battlefield.

She had just destroyed a magical cannon and quickly cocooned a struggling soldier in white webbing. Without hesitation, she tossed him down. One of her giant spiders caught the cocoon and secured it to its back.

Their next orders were clear—deliver the captive to the nearest Wanda for brainwashing and then come back to her.

She took a moment to scan the battlefield. The resistance was nearly crushed. "Can't believe we reduced the gods' city to this in under thirty minutes," she muttered, shaking her head. Then, with a grin, she added, "Well, maybe it's not that surprising."

Her mind drifted back to when Erik alone had defeated Ultron—even when he possessed all the Infinity Stones.

"Another thirty minutes and even the palace will be ours," she murmured, eyes fixed on the glowing shield protecting the Royal Palace.

Then, something caught her eye—a lone, black-clothed figure floating near the barrier.

Her lips curled into a smirk. "That's where he is!"

At that exact moment, cracks spread across the blue dome before it shattered into glowing fragments. Instead of simply vanishing, the remnants transformed into a swarm of ghostly, bluish butterflies that scattered into the wind.

This man just plagiarized, Dr. Strange's trick!

"Wow! Way to go, Erik!" Cindy cheered. Her eyes shimmered as she called out to her monstrous spiders. "Puppies, let's go!"

With that, she shot forward, leading the charge toward the now-exposed palace.

Odin lifted his gaze as he heard footsteps echoing through the grand halls. His sharp eyes locked onto the approaching figure.

"Eirikyr, son of Ander… you've come after all, huh…" he muttered.

Erik smirked. "Odin… Let's keep this simple. Hand over the Aether and the Eternal Flame, and I'll be on my way." He tilted his head, eyes gleaming with amusement. "But if you still haven't embarrassed yourself enough, I don't mind beating you up first."

Odin's brows twitched at the blatant taunt. 'Yao, I sometimes seriously doubt your words,' he thought grimly, 'but that doesn't mean I'll hand over the nine realms to him that easily.'

With a steady breath, Odin rose to his feet, gripping Gungnir tightly. He pointed the spear at Erik, his voice firm.

"I've been waiting for you, you greedy, insolent BOY."

Odin's spear crackled with golden energy before blasting a blinding beam of destruction at Erik.

Reacting instantly, Erik threw up his [Shield], but his spider-senses screamed just then. His eyes widened—something was wrong.

The moment the beam collided with his barrier, the shield shattered like fragile glass. Erik barely had time to move before the energy seared his right arm. The pain was instant, and the disintegration began spreading rapidly.

Smirking, Erik ripped off his own arm before the decay could consume more of him. In the blink of an eye, fresh muscle and bone regrew, his limb fully restored.

"Funny," Erik chuckled, flexing his new fingers. "My shield tanks galaxy-level blasts, yet your little glowstick almost got me. Color me impressed, old man."

Odin sneered, gripping Gungnir tighter. "Know your place, boy."

".Trust me, I know it." Erik snapped his fingers. The air rippled as Beelzebuth—a swirling vortex of dark purple energy—erupted around him.

Odin's golden energy blasts roared toward Erik, but Beelzebuth's swirling vortex swallowed them whole, however for some reason, it got pushed back quite a few meters before it could finally absorb the attack.

Erik noted this phenomenon, 'This is troublesome...'

The dark purple void pulsed hungrily, analyzing the Odinforce's structure.

[Notice! "Odinforce: Disintegration Blast" has been absorbed. ]

'Can it be copied though?' Erik asked the system as he dodged another blast.

[ It's possible. However, since this attack requires Odinforce, which is exclusive to him, it cannot be used repeatedly. You can absorb and store the attack, but you can only release it once per absorption. Essentially, you can redirect Odin's own blasts back at him—but you cannot generate them yourself. ]

'Got it.' Erik grinned as tendrils of stolen energy crackled around his fingertips. "Thanks for the snack, Odin," he taunted, hurling a copied disintegration beam back at Odin.

The All-Father deflected it with Gungnir, but the throne room's walls behind him vaporized into ash.

"You're a parasite," Odin spat, bleeding from a dozen cuts. "Stealing powers, defiling realms—"

With Erik's warning, Odin wouldn't recklessly use his most problematic attack.

"Enough games!" Odin snarled, lunging forward with Gungnir. The spear's blade hummed with primordial energy, slicing through the air like a comet.

Erik's Spider-Sense flared, and he ducked just as the spearhead grazed his shoulder, shearing off a lock of hair.

"Cute glowstick, I have one too," Erik sneered, raising his left hand.

Beelzebuth's vortex churned violently before spitting out a jagged, golden stick— Loki's specter.

He caught it mid-air, parrying Gungnir's next strike.

The clash sent shockwaves rippling outward, shattering the remaining stained-glass windows.

Odin pressed forward, his strikes relentless. "You think mimicry makes you powerful?"

"Let me tell you from experience, it does," Erik smiled, channeling Gambit's molecular acceleration into the scepter.
