Mother magic: the religion in the wizarding world where the belief of magic being under the jurisdiction of a greater entity of magic, mostly seen as a fair and impartial mother figure who gives birth to magic and mystery in the world, and whose divinity and blessing grants sanctity to magic and rituals invoking her name. This religion is special in that many separate magical cultures each developed a belief in to a primary female deity that rule magic, irrespective of time and a culture. Some of the major denominations of mother magic are;

The Morrigan convent - The Morrigan is a triple aspect female (maiden mother crone) that is famous for being a goddess of war, witchcraft and death, protection and retribution. (Celtic mythos)

The Freyja convent - Freyja (Old Norse "(the) Lady") is a goddess associated with love, beauty, fertility, sex, war, gold, and seiðr (magic for seeing and influencing the future). (Norse mythos)

The Hecate convent - Hecate is the goddess of magic, witchcraft, the night, moon, ghosts and necromancy. (Greek mythos)

The Morgana convent - Morgan le Fay, is a powerful and ambiguous enchantress from Arthurian legends who was seen as on par with supreme figure of merlin and king Arthur, and while not divine in nature of legend, a substantial following has place her in a position of mother magic similar to the merlin based religion also seen in the wizarding world. (Arthurian legend)

The Gaia convent - Gaia (also Gaea or Ge) is a primordial goddess and the personification of the Earth in Greek mythology. She is also seen as mother nature and the creator(mother) of the natural order, and through the prime belief of magic being a fundamental core of the natural world, she is seen as the mother of magic. (Greek mythos)

The Oonagh convent - Oonagh is a Fae Goddess of love and protectress of young animals, She is also the Mistress of Illusion and Glamour. (Irish mythos)/(Tuatha de Danann)

The Isis convent - Great mother Isis, is the Egyptian goddess of healing and magic. (Egyptian mythos)

The Minona convent - Goddess of Sorcery and Fortune-Telling (African mythos)

The Morena convent - Morena, the pagan Slavic goddess of winter, death, harvest, witchcraft, and nightmares. (Slavic mythos)

The followers of merlin: This another major religion that has predominantly stay in the British isles with some spread throughout western Europe. This religion follows the basic teaching and belief surrounding magic left behind by merlin, following his assent into legend. the prominent belief system is of the three rules. magic thee be ever right/light, magic thee be ever blood and magic thee be ever worship/learnt.

the principle of the followers of merlin are split into three main groups;

pure of magics - pure magic's are those that believe in that greater magic is the only right path (ever right) , that magic while be eternal (ever blood), and that magic must be both learnt and worship as it is divine and infinitely mysterious (ever worship/learnt)

pure of blood - pure blood's are that that believe magic is a right of those of unending magic bloodlines (ever blood and ever right), and that it must be held above all else (ever worship)

pure of light - pure light's are those that believe magic must be light and all that corrupt magic into dark are evil and destroy the sanctity of magic (ever worship and ever light), and that all those that possess magic are eternally equal (ever blood)

elementalism or divine naturists: divine naturist and elementalism are religions surrounding the natural order of the world and the element and divine spirit that are manifestations of it. there are six major categories:

druidic circle - the druidic circle follow the beliefs that nature is life and that all animal plants and environment must be respected and protected. they are know to develop groves and sanctuaries for all kind of plants animal and spirits, magical and mundane.

immortal flame - the immortal flame are elementals that follow the will of the immortal flame/sun, and worship the magics it emits. they worship phoenixes as divine envoys of the sun.

molten core - the molten core is a religion of the earth, and all those that follow it desire to return to the deep depths they call home. they believe that the greatest purpose is to create and mold all the earth gives them into great arts and structure, be they buildings, tools, weapons or even the most mundane items. upon death they along with their crafts are return to the depths to be remade anew in the future.

storm-guards - the storm-guard are followers of the storm, they worship the cloud, rain, thunder and lightning. they believe that the storm shape and molds the earth while provided the water of life the all it shelters. they worship thunderbirds and divine envoys of the storm.

frozen hearts - the frozen heart worship the cold wind of winter and the cycle of the seasons, they believe that all must bath in the frozen winds to truly attune the cold hearts of the world and attain enlightenment on the nature of the natural order.

eternal tide - the eternal tides are follower of the sea and all the thrives below, they group into two sub groups; the peaceful tides - these are the major group who follow the belief of give and take, seeing the sea as both home and afar, a source of life but also a taker of it, the ebb and the flow of time and space, they worship the sea leviathan as a mortal envoy and ruler of sea. while the slumbering depths are the second smaller group who live in small cults near the sea all around the world, and worship a great entity they believe slumbers beneath the dark depths, the great dreamer who's dreams are the lives we live. and who worship the kraken as mortal representation of the dreamer.
