Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 - Undead Dungeon Part 2/2

"I do not have any attack skills, only two skills, 'Verdict of Truth' and 'Soul Devourer'. How will I defeat them? 'Soul Devourer' can only be used when your enemy is dead," he thought to himself, realizing the gravity of the situation. If he couldn't find a solution, he knew he would be in deep trouble.

But in his dire situation, suddenly the system granted him a new attack skill. This skill allowed him to exile his enemies to a realm of eternal darkness. Those caught in this skill find themselves trapped in a nightmare , unable to escape or interact with the physical world.

Heo looked at his new skill and smiled with a grin on his face, thinking that it was a perfect timing to get a new skill for his first level up and for passing judgment on those treacherous fools.

"You can stay behind our back; we will fight them. The undead skeletons are so much easier to defeat. You can kill those who escape from us," Hae Dong replied, and both of them looked at each other and gave a big smile.

Hae Dong and his team killed the undead skeletons effortlessly, like crushing ants under their feet. Undead skeletons are easy to defeat, having a weakness to blunt force attacks on their heads, and Hae Dong's team seemed experienced, unlike newbie F-rank hunters.

Heo's skill warned him of the potential danger he was in. 'Verdict of Truth' could also determine a hunter's level, but Heo couldn't see their levels, suggesting they might not be F-rank hunters. The skill could only reveal a hunter's level if it you are higher or up to ten levels lower than the person.

Heo watched the level-up notification on his system with a sinister smile on his face. They had no idea about his skill as a Demonic Judge called 'Soul Devourer', which allowed him to absorb the souls of sinners. The souls of the undead were corrupted, unable to escape to either hell or heaven, trapped in between life and death. This granted Heo the ability to increase his level and gain a random skill from the undead as well. As a result, Heo leveled up ten times and acquired one random skill from the undead.

Meanwhile, Dong's team believed they were not giving Heo a chance to level up, and after they killed the Boss, they planned to kill him too for additional leveling up. This harsh reality existed in the Hunter world, where not only could you level up by defeating monsters, but you could also kill your fellow hunters to gain more power. Many powerful and evil hunters killed low-level hunters to gain power and eliminate potential threats. It was a brutal and ruthless world, where the strong preyed on the weak to maintain their dominance.

After fighting for hours, they managed to kill all the undead army and finally reached the entrance of the Boss room. There stood a giant door blocking their path, requiring the combined power of all the team members to open it. They used their strength and managed to push open the massive door, revealing the dark and eerie Boss room inside. The room was dimly lit by torches mounted on the walls, casting flickering shadows all around. At the far end of the room, seated on a sinister-looking throne, was the Lich, patiently waiting for them to enter and face their doom.

[Lich - F rank]

[Level : 15 ]

"Liches are powerful monsters who were once alive and sold their souls to the Demon of Death to gain more power. But then, why is his level only 15, and why is he trapped in an F rank dungeon?" Heo thought to himself, recalling the knowledge he had gained from reading about Liches on hunters' blogs on the internet.

"I guess there's more to it. This world isn't as simple as it seems. I need to uncover the truth about this world, " Heo thought to himself, his determination growing as he realized the complexities of the situation.

"This is a problem for another day. Right now, let's have some fun," Heo thought to himself, a sinister smile creeping across his face. His heart was eager to unleash havoc upon those wicked hunters.

Without any delay, Heo used his newfound skill to set multiple traps in the Boss room, all without alerting anyone. If someone were to step into one of these traps, their soul would become entrap in an endless nightmare, severed from the physical world.

"This is the Lich boss, he should be same weak as those undead sekelton, Guys are you read? " Dong asked to his hunter team and they were ready to face the boss.

"Dong, what should we do with him after defeating the Boss? How do we plan to deal with him?" One of Dong's teammates signaled him with their eyes, inquiring about how to handle Heo after they killed the Boss.

"It will be easy. We never let him fight the undead; he hasn't leveled up here. He will die with one swing of my sword," Dong announced his sinister plan to his hunter party.

They were muttering to themselves, smiling at the idea of killing Heo, while Heo had already formulated a plan and set it in motion to counter any strategy from Dong's party.

Dong's party fought with the Lich and they killed the Lich with ease.

[Another Skill Acquired : Soul Drain]

Heo gained five levels when Lich was killed by Dong's party, and he also acquired an additional skill: Soul Drain. This skill allowed him to drain the life force of their enemies to heal himself.

As Heo's level increased and he acquired the new skill "Soul Drain," a sinister grin spread across his face. His eyes glinted with a mixture of excitement and justice, his heart fueled by a burning desire to bring retribution for all those innocent hunters who had killed at the hands of Dong's party. The newfound power surged through him, amplifying his determination to pass the judgment upon the wicked hunters.
