[Year 2023, Earth, University of Arts]
"Hey, have you guys finished the novel I sent you last week?" A girl rushed into the classroom in a hurry. Her hair was messy, but she didn't care. She hurried to sit down in front of five girls and placed her iPad on the table.
"The online novel Our Desire Is Only You, right?" a girl asked. Her cheeks suspiciously turned red like a peach.
"Hey, hey, what else do you think?" another girl rolled her eyes before glancing at everyone else. Everyone nodded.
She was the class monitor. She never recommended anything to her friends, but this time, she couldn't help wanting to share this novel with them.
"Which one of the heroes is your type? I prefer Yuze. Although he was cruel, he was so charming. He gave all of his devotion and love to the heroine."
"I prefer Xuan Jing, the Holy Son. He was such an iceberg, so emotionless, but he gave the heroine so much fondness. Such a man is my dream!"
"I prefer the Demon King. He is sinister and heartless, but he is willing to put down his pride and spoil the heroine with tenderness."
"What are you guys talking about? Every man's background and appearance are comparable. Of course, I love all of them. Sadly, they only love the heroine."
Everyone seemed to agree with that sentence.
Yes, all the men were so perfect and powerful. How could they even compare with each other?
"Speaking of that, the heroine, Huang Bai Xing, is really ruthless and cold, but she is strong and affectionate. Such a woman, no wonder men will love her and chase her everywhere."
"How about Huang Ying Yue?" Just then, a girl frowned.
"That vicious woman? I really hate her. If I could, I would go into the book and slap her annoying face."
"She kept harming the heroine again and again! How can there be such a disgusting woman?"
"The other female supporting characters are also despicable. Every time I see them frame the heroine, I really want to burn their hair until they're bald."
These girls continued discussing the story without caring about anything else. Then, many other girls and even boys came to join the conversation. As the girl described the story, not only the girls, but even the boys became fascinated by the charm of the heroine in the book.
Everyone hurriedly took out their phones and iPads to download the novel and read it.
In the corner of the classroom, a girl around nineteen years old could be seen wearing a university uniform, a black skirt, and a white dress shirt.
She was sitting on a desk, far away from everyone. The girl looked outside the classroom window while listening to them. It seemed as though nothing could bother her at all.
She was thinking about that book.
Did immortals and miracles really exist?
She had a feeling that every word inside The Ethereal Myth was true. But who was the one who wrote that book? Where did the book come from?
She looked at the sky as she pondered.
When she heard everyone talking about the vicious woman, Huang Ying Yue, she became puzzled. Maybe it was because she and that person had the same "Yue" in their names?
Bei Yueyue took out her mobile phone and clicked on a website. She found a reverse-harem novel called Our Desire Is Only You (NP).
She clicked on the novel and began to read.
Unconsciously, time passed minute by minute. She seemed to become immersed in the world of the novel without noticing her surroundings.
Strangely, the professor didn't come to teach that day, so the students had completely free hours from morning until afternoon.
(4 p.m.)
Huang Bai Xing successfully eliminated all the threats in the universe and defeated the evil cultivators and fiend monsters. She then became everyone's most powerful goddess and lived happily in the immortal world with her husbands.
The sunlight shone through the window, reflecting against the girl's beautiful face, while the breeze gently blew her soft black hair. She put away her phone and rubbed her eyebrows.
Bei Yueyue had one secret. Whenever she read a book, she could finish everything inside it extremely quickly, and she remembered every detail clearly. Because of that, she could finish this entire novel in just half a day.
Moreover, the book seemed not to be finished yet, but the author appeared to have rushed the ending when the heroine arrived in the fairy world.
"Yue, have you finished your class?" A charming voice echoed as a man appeared in the room. He then walked toward the corner of the classroom without looking at anybody.
Hearing someone call her name, Bei Yueyue turned her head and looked toward the entrance of the classroom.
Everyone became quiet.
Then the girls exploded.
Even some of the boys' faces turned slightly red.
"Oh my God! Senior Mu Yang! Ahh, my idol!"
"He is so handsome! No, no, he looks so beautiful!"
"I am dizzy! Help me. My male god is here! Hurry and take a picture."
Jun Mu Yang was a third-year student majoring in music and painting. He came from a wealthy, powerful, and deep-rooted family. He was a genius at the university.
He looked charming and beautiful, like a male god who had stepped out of a comic book. The word beautiful seemed to fit him perfectly.
Every part of his face and body seemed to have been carved by heaven itself. His phoenix eyes narrowed slightly, while his long, butterfly-like eyelashes covered his pupils.
His snow-white skin glittered beneath the sunlight, and his diamond earrings swayed as he moved. His tall figure naturally emitted a chill, but only when he stopped in front of the girl did that chill disappear and turn into tenderness.
Time seemed to stop. Everyone looked at him in a daze.
How could heaven create such a perfect human being?
Sometimes, people wondered whether he was really human at all.
"A'Yang, you're here." Bei Yueyue looked around and saw everyone's obsession with him. She twitched her lips but said nothing. Then, while everyone was still in a daze, she hurriedly picked up her bag and led the man out of her classroom.
"Who is that girl? Why does Senior Mu Yang call her so affectionately?" everyone asked after a long silence.
"Isn't she Bei Yueyue, the new student who just transferred here four months ago?"
"Why is her sense of presence so low that we didn't even notice her?"
Everyone was puzzled, but when they turned around, the two figures had already disappeared.
.......
"Yue, where are we going today?" Looking at the girl's slender figure, he asked dotingly.
"Go eat cotton candy and noodles," Bei Yueyue replied while walking out of the university gate. It was evening, so many students had already left, and the university gate was empty that day.
"Let's get going. I'll accompany you as I always do." Jun Mu Yang gently held her slender wrist while his other long hand took her school bag and carried it over his strong shoulder. The two walked side by side, like a beautiful couple.
He had met her five months ago, when she first came to study here. That day, when she first saw him, her clear eyes were calm and quiet, without the slightest ripple.
He met her three times, and every time he encountered her, he was left speechless by her.
Unconsciously, he began paying attention to her every movement. He liked everything about her. Her gentleness, her quietness, her dullness, and even her funny reactions.
The two arrived at the park. They walked along the garden as the breeze slowly blew by, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The petals of the cherry blossom trees scattered over the people walking along the road.
"Yue, wait here. I'll go and get the cotton candy for you." Jun Mu Yang placed the two bags on the stone chair near the park, then put both hands gently on her thin shoulders and let her sit down.
"A'Yang, go buy from the old grandpa over there." She looked at the old man in dirty clothes who was struggling to sell cotton candy. His cotton candy cart was old, as though he had been using it for a very long time.
"Okay." Jun Mu Yang looked over. Then he turned his face toward the girl's fair face, and a deep emotion flashed through his eyes.
He walked toward the old man who was selling colorful cotton candy. Many people were selling candy there, including young and middle-aged people. People came and went to buy the candy, but everyone seemed disgusted by the old man and avoided his place.
"She is a good girl. Boy, don't ever let go of her hands, no matter what!" The old man smiled as he looked at Jun Mu Yang, then turned his head toward the girl who was playing with the fallen petals beneath the trees.
Jun Mu Yang was puzzled, but he didn't ask much. He was not a talkative person, except when he was with Yue. Even if the old man hadn't told him, he would never let go of her.
"Get away! Damn it, what are you doing?" A rough voice suddenly sounded as the loud screech of car brakes echoed across the road. Then the car struck something fiercely.
"Bang!!!"
"Ahhhh!" Many people who saw the scene were shocked and hurried over to look.
