Nonetheless, she quickly snapped out of her daze, scrambled to her feet in front of the van, and staggered across to the opposite side of the street.
The driver of the van poked his head out and began to swear at her retreating figure.
But the woman didn't stop for a moment, dodging several fast-moving vehicles before disappearing from everyone's sight.
Some people rushed halfway but were blocked by the traffic and didn't dare to take further risks to chase after her.
By the time those chasing her got through the traffic, her figure had already vanished.
Fortunately, she had left the child behind.
