After saying that with neither arrogance nor humility, Katte Martin left the office.
As soon as she left, Lucas Hutt leaned back in his office chair, with no intention of calling Flynn Taylor.
He knew what Flynn wanted the most, even if she said it didn't matter, he knew that no woman could truly be indifferent.
And what Flynn wanted the most, was exactly what he couldn't give her. Since that was the case, what right did he have to continue being involved with Flynn?
It would be better to cool things off, so that Flynn could see clearly that he wasn't someone she should entrust herself to.
About half an hour after leaving Lucas' office, Katte called Flynn.
She was certain that Lucas would call Flynn, but the result left her greatly disappointed.
"Lucas didn't call you?" She exclaimed in disbelief.
Didn't she tell Lucas that Flynn was worried about him? How could he be indifferent?
Maybe he was too busy to make the call?
