If Flynn was with him, she was destined to be his secret lover. He didn't want to have a foot in both boats, as he had always despised that type of man.
Of course, he didn't want to become the person he once disdained.
He initially planned to divorce Tina Hernandez. If he could regain his freedom, maybe he could give Flynn a legitimate status.
However, since his mother refused to allow the divorce with such a firm stance, he wouldn't be able to become single in the short term. That wouldn't be fair to Flynn either.
"What's the matter? Do you have something you can't share with me? Speak up, I'm listening." Flynn noticed Lucas's hesitation and encouraged him to continue.
Lucas avoided Flynn's gentle gaze: "Let's eat first, we can talk after dinner."
Anxious to know what Lucas wanted to say, Flynn quickly finished her meal, waiting for him to clear her doubts.
