The morning air shimmered with possibility. Light streamed through the glass facade of the new Thamaris Children’s Hospital, spilling across polished floors and the delicate paintings that lined the hallways, murals of stars, forests, and oceans, all designed to make little hearts feel brave. It was opening day.
