Envy could only remain quiet as the two Elite's vanished into Calibren's walls, held at gunpoint by the Sniper in Hell. "How did you get here? I thought you would've been pre-occupied with some big orders from your King..." A hope to have him talk up so he can bide his time long enough to escape.
"He sent me here." Was all that Bronx needed to respond, making the living Tar tense up. The barrel was already preparing to crack, the trigger pulling close. "That... and I had a target placed in this area. Considering they did the job for me, I can instead focus on you."
"What, just because I'm a piece of the enemy, you could kill me? What about the 'Prophecy'? You'd end up killing Tsukiya in the process."
"I know."
Envy couldn't help but be more worried as Bronx was nonchalant with this. What was his plan with this assassination? Regardless, as soon as the trigger was pulled, his body parted, splitting off in half so he can surround the Sniper and ensure he doesn't get a chance to shoot again. Bronx, in response, merely used the barrel as a stepping stone, pushing himself up and dodging the pincer attack, reloading and taking another shot, forcing Envy to split further. Both would be able to make some quick assessments as they matched each other in terms of reaction speed. Envy noticed that the rounds Bronx was using wasn't the lethal ones that would blow up the area, letting him assume he was trying to restrain himself by only utilizing the Contract bullets. With this in mind, he'd be able to deduce that he wasn't aiming for a direct killing, but more so an attack in his own head, an attack on his soul which, if struck, would render him completely incapacitated and unable to fight for the remainder of the war. He'd smirk as he'd see this potential end, but knowing well he wasn't going for an actual kill move. Bronx, meanwhile, was able to see that his anatomy is nothing than a mere slime-like liquid. Bullets won't work against the Living Tar unless it is directly on it. A malleable form from skin to organs, all to weave around effortlessly. He may be needed to do a more direct approach if he is willing to attack his enemies.
He'd be quick on switching bullets, firing an explosive round to make the Tar weave again. Should this work, the explosion behind it would propel the body outwards and let his gun be coated in the substance. One quick swap and a shot from his Contract Bullets guarantees his victory. Envy, however, took a gamble. As he'd see the bullet coming his way, reading Bronx's moves, he'd catch the bullet through his mass and cycle it around, returning it back to sender, prompting the Sniper to shoot another shot before it got halfway across the treeline.
KA-BOOOOOOOM!!!!!
Destruction left in the wake between the two, barely spending any energy from the deductions and the speed they performed, as Bronx closes in again and fires three more rounds. Envy would do the same catch and throw maneuver in response, although he only shoots one of the rounds while spinning the two around his arms, letting Bronx leap over to evade the bullet so he can close in with a four piece. A Hook, parried by the weapon. A straight, dodged out of the way and countered with a shift and shot from his barrel. A parting once again to both evade and catch the gun, pulling Bronx close, headbutting him, and severing his hands so he can rocket them towards his face, pushing himself away as the two detonated.
KA-BOOOOOOM!!!!
Fire was spreading rapidly with such shots, as Envy watched on through the smoke and ash in thinking he was temporarily put down. "He's not dead... that I can DEFINITELY tell. This'll give me enough time to-"
BANG!!
Before he would be able to finish his sentence, Envy was shot through his head. His eyes darted immediately back on the scene, watching as the Sniper's body got wounded. Tears across his arms and neck from the explosion, as well as a small slash against his left eye. Those very wounds started to molt and change, taking on a new solid material. Rather than flesh, his body began making it into steel, more barrels made in order to shoot at the attacker, a barrage of bullets raining up north, forcing Envy to back away and hide while trying to survive the effects of the first shot. "As I said before, and as I will say again. I am a weapon. Nothing more and nothing less. All I am is a tool to kill and take for other's enjoyment. These wounds became my gun. This body is my gun. You should've been told about this earlier with Sozo. I'm a bit surprised he left this information out from you." He'd comment, as he'd begin to approach the Tar, waiting for the moment where his bullets kicked in.
Eventually, Envy would start to hallucinate. The area around him feeling like sea rather than land, an ocean out of dirt and grass, as he'd see the many faces buried underneath. A reveal of him being just as disposable. A mere piece of Kurorai himself, now forced to inherit and be weighed down by the King of Nihil's sins. The mass of bodies would try to grab and drag him down, but to no avail, their spectral fingers merely sinking into the sludge and scraping out only a few remains. "Is this... his magic? It's not doing much to me at the moment... It must've been a clean shot through. Had it lingered, it would most likely made it worse..." He weighed his options as he'd think ahead, watching the land bend and wave around. He'd have to angle his eyes in the same manner if he wanted to see properly, watching the Sniper coming through the flames and approaching ever so slowly at the Descendant.
