After two mind-blowing days spent in bed after the fourth and celebrating Erik's eighteenth birthday by giving herself to him as his present. Although she was very uncomfortable the first day back home, she was a little more used to the soreness of her lower body and the ravages that it had endured. Although it had been the first time for them both, they had quickly realized that there were endless ways of enjoying the act of coming together. Liona blushed as her mind wandered back to their last day at the beach, but a stern clearing of a throat brought her back to reality and she stood up straighter.
"If you keep slouching and twisting, I'll either stick you with a pin, or the fit won't be right. These are the prototypes, after all. Mass production won't begin until I am one-hundred percent satisfied with the look, fit, and the feel of a day in the life of school. These were your designs, but I'm not above throwing the design out if they don't function as needed, because my model is squirming…" Liona's Aunt Ra-Ra threatened as she stuck one more pin in place on the jacket of the new uniform design.
"But Auntie, it's summer. Why are you working on the winter uniform first?" Liona was curious, as she was currently sweltering in the wool skirt and jacket she had chosen for her favorite combination of uniform her school allowed.
"Because, by the time the new school year starts, the winter uniforms will be necessary only a month or two into the year, depending on when that first big cold front arrives in the North. Would you want to freeze in your cool cotton uniform as the damp air moves in and brings the temperature down?"
"Liona, um, I think your aunt is right. It does get cold in the North sooner than later…" Erik spoke up hesitantly as he waited his turn to have the nonconforming uniform style fitted and adjusted by Liona's aunt. He had chosen a solid dark blue bell-bottomed look that flared at the leg with plenty of lace accents and had a high-waisted design with a set of four buttons, two on each side of the waist-front. The jacket was the same short style Liona was currently sporting with her high-waisted skirt, but hers was a deep-blue and green plaid that was pleated at the sides and flared out similarly to his pants as but the length ended at her calves. They both had on white dress shirts with ties to match. Although he wore a traditional tie, Liona chose a ribbon in the same forest green as his.
Liona pouted for a moment before standing as still as she could so her aunt could finish. Once she was done, she was given leave to take her winter uniform off and then change into the summer cotton version while her aunt worked on Erik's version. The summer uniform she had chosen had a shorter skirt of the same style as the winter one. The jacket was optional for summer and a lighter weight ¾ sleeved bolero rather than the full-length sleeve of the winter version.
Once her aunt had tailored the prototype uniforms to fit them, she packed up her sewing kit and headed back to her boutique, leaving them the summer uniform for their first day of summer school tomorrow. Since it was still midsummer, Liona's siblings were still off at their summer camps and wouldn't be back home until a week before the new school year started in September. That left her and Erik home alone for the rest of the summer. But that didn't stop her family members from occasionally checking in on them, especially Erik's mom, who promised to stop by almost every evening when she could.
The evening was uneventful, although not for lack of trying on Liona's part. Erik honestly would have loved to be with her again, but the fear of the security system picking up on them doing anything terrified him. That, and his mom was supposed to stop by after her shift at work sometime this evening. Getting caught was not high on his list of priorities. After making sure his new school supplies were in order and ready for tomorrow morning, he ended up watching a movie before dinner. While Liona was making dinner that evening, his mom stopped by, but thankfully her visit was brief before she went back to her new residence.
The next morning was a little odd for the both of them. Liona felt she should be done with school by now and enjoying her summer. For Erik, it was him not having to wake up several hours before class to get to his part-time job in time. Waking up just an hour before school to get ready and eat Liona's delicious cooking was the highlight of his morning. She even packed them both lunches that were more snacks than anything, although when he questioned why, she just smiled and told him he'd see.
He realized the school was far bigger than he recalled from prom. In fact, by his reckoning, it was easily twice as big as what he had figured before. Their classes were all in the same building, and since it was only summer school students here for these classes, they only had one class and a single teacher for kids in the program. To his surprise, the first class was really a breeze. It was an introduction to the program, how things would go, and an explanation of the campus rules for those that were from his old school.
After morning class was over, it was time for the next class, and the kids were instructed to split into work groups. These groups would be theirs for the entirety of the summer for all the classes. Erik had made no friends at his old school and knew no one from this one, so he was unsure about whom to partner with other than Lia. Thankfully, Lia had it all sorted out and quickly dragged him over to 2 girls and a guy who she seemed to know from her school. She was quite a social butterfly in this environment. It was nice to see this side of her. For the rest of the day, they buckled down and got to work on their assignments. Each group had a group project to do and individually, you were given work to focus on for your particular needs, such as which subjects you needed a credit for graduating or were failing.
Liona sat with Erik at lunch that day, and before long, the group they had formed in class sat with them and chatted up a storm. Mostly, they were curious about their matching outfits. "These will be the academy uniforms starting next year. We have the summer ones on, but there will be winter ones and several styles to choose from, depending on your preferences." She fielded all kinds of questions throughout lunch, barely having time to talk to Erik as other students stopped by as well to gush over the uniforms. By the end of the day, she was feeling grumpy. She thought that being in the same class as Erik would allow her more time to talk to him, but she rarely had a moment alone with him nor the chance to steal a kiss or hold his hand since their schoolwork kept them busy.
Finally, at the end of the school day, they headed home. Erik noted that the drive home was short, but it was not silent. Liona chatted earnestly with him and felt like she had been bottling up all this energy all day and now the cork had popped. Half the conversation felt like she was leading up to something, but he couldn't be sure he was reading her right. In a moment of silence, his phone sent a notice from his mom that she would be busy studying for work all week and her check-in on them would be much later than she originally planned. He didn't think it mattered, but knew his mom was worried, so he replied quickly to tell her to focus and not to worry about them.
Once inside, Liona all but dragged Erik upstairs to her room so she could finally be alone with him. She had been impatiently waiting all day to get her dose of affection but had been thwarted at every turn, even if no one but her knew it. As soon as her room door closed, she practically leapt at Erik and eagerly pressed her lips to his, urging a response from her mate. Erik responded, but he didn't take things any further than tangling their tongues. She pouted when he gently pushed her away.
"Lia, as much as I want to do that with you, we have homework to do and also have to study for the quiz on Friday." Erik warred with his body, wanting what his mate was so willingly offering and their duty to pass these summer school lessons. Seeing his mate pout in such a way made him want to give in; instead, he gave her a compromise. He leaned in close and kissed her neck before whispering what his idea was for that compromise as he nuzzled her scent gland.
"You promise?" Liona's eyes lit up with hope. "You can't go back on your word!" She immediately plopped down and grabbed her school things from her bag and opened up to the first problem they had to work on. Her anticipation had her fidgeting and looking at her mate every few minutes, eagerly awaiting the opportunity to see him make good on his promise.
