Nick had thought too highly of the the creeper, he initially feared it because he remebered the fear he had when watching the movie as a kid. It was only now that the illusionary fear he felt disappeared.
This wasnt a movie where he put himself into the shoes of a dumb character, he was a seasoned superhuman monster hunter with a large arsonal. Meanwhile the creeper was a pathetic creature that ambushed and hunted down humans with its super strength and magical abilities.
It looked down on humans as mere cattle to fuel its endless life, it enjoyed torturing and inflicting fear onto people as it kill them. So as Nick walked over to the loud whirling car shredder, dragging the creeper by its broken leg, he didnt think much of the task as he callously threw the centuries old creature into the the spinning hunks if metal!
He heard the creature shriek out in pain as the sound of crunching and cracking rang out, blood spurted onto the sides of the shredder while the two siblings watched this scene in disgust and relief. Its body was torn into tiny parts and spat out at the sides into ground up meat, bone, trench jacket, and hair.
It would take Wolverine levels of healing to comeback from this, the creeper was finished.
Walking over and pressing the off switch, the large shredder slowly came to a halt and silence now engulfed the night, only crickets could be heard.
"You two, lets go back to my car and wait for backup to arrive." Nick voice was irrefutable and they could only nod quickly before leaving, but secretly he was worried about being too slow to aborb the creature before others arrived!
Step near the gore of the creeper, Nicks thumb quickly swiped over the bloody mess of crushed up bones and meat as he caught up the siblings. They looked at him strangely for a moment but didnt speak.
Back in the heat of the moment Nick didnt care about hiding his abilities, he'd transformed into his bear state and fought off the creeper who tried to attack him in his SUV.
The two hadnt seen much as they were in the backseat behind a metal grate that prevented them from touching the driver, but they still saw something! Nick wasnt facing them, but they saw the hair on the back of his head turn white and he somehow bit off the hand of the creeper!
Giving side glances at Nick that was totally normal now, the two began to wonder if they were just seeing things but internally knew they weren't. They new something was strange about Nick, but they figured itd be best not to talk about it in front of him.
When the siblings werent looking, Nick quickly slammed his still bloody thumb into the last empty box and felt the familiar pain overcome him
The crushed up body of the creeper began to turn into particles, all traces from the blood, bones, even the jacket and clothes disintegrated into incredibly small particles and flew into Nicks body. He now had the strength and abilities of the Creeper!
Nick had to stifle a groan of pain but he managed to remain quite as he walked, his pain quickly subsided as the feeling of power overcame him.
He felt stronger, faster, and more durable but he also felt somethings else. First it was his smell, alongside his super smell from the Polar bear Nick began to smell something else, Fear! The two siblings reeked of it, especially the brother Darius.
Besides the smell he also felt a strange feeling he had on his back. Nick wasnt a betting man but if he was, hed bet that he could now summon forth batlike wings that he could fly on! He obviously didnt try it out here but he felt confident that he gained the ability to create a pair of wings on his back!
His next ability was special, it wasnt a transformation or super strength but instead a supernatural ability!
Nick felt some dormant energy within himself pool into his hand, he had an idea of what it was but he had to test out his ability first. Walking near his car, Nick saw that the keys were still in the ignition.
Placing his hand onto his beat up SUV, Nick channeled this ability into the car and focused deeply on taking the keys out. He was so focused that he had to close his eyes, but he immediately opened them the moment he heard the keys hit the floor!
Nicks eyes widen as he looked at his hand, a single thought echoed in his mind.
'I have Telekinesis!'
Nick knew this ability wasnt wasnt incredibly strong, he had to physically touch an item and pour this energy into it to use telekinesis on it. Not only that but the strength of it was meager, he felt a slight strain making his shotgun float.
In the future when testing, he figured the maximum weight he could lift with it was around 50lb. He wouldnt be able to throw around cars around like weapons but it was still incredibly useful and deadly if used right!
Like the creeper, Nick could nownalso use his telekinesis to push his Vehicles accelerator and move his steering wheel allowing him to drive it without even touch it, he could also imbue an object with the telekinetic energy and control its trajectory allowing for superhuman aim!
This telekinesis was very limited but it was his first supernatural ability and was incredibly grateful for it.
As for Nicks last ability gained from the Creeper... It was the ability he was both glad for and dreading, the Creepers healing ability.
It was an active healing ability that needed human bodies...
If you had an injured liver, just eat a human liver to heal! If you had an injured leg, just severe someone else and transplant them! It was an ability that could make Nick inmortal and live forever, if he was fine with cannibalism.
'This is probably the worst healing powers in this world.' The reason Nick wanted to hunt down the creeper was for this ability, it was disgusting but it was better than nothing.
Having turned off his hidden bear transformation, Nick began to limp once again on his injured leg. He knew the creepers truck was full of dead bodies and he could heal himself right now, but he didnt know what hed do with his severed leg .
This was 2008 and not the 50's after all, all it took was a DNA sample of his severed leg and they'd realize it belonged to Nick, which would bring up a lot of questions. If he was going to swap legs, Nick would have to do it on his own time to completely destroy any traces of his leg.
Rummaging through his beat up SUV, Nick found his cane and dusted the glass fragments off of it. Grabbing a bottle of water, Nick offered some to the siblings who turned him down, and waited for "back up" to arrive.
'Now that all five of my boxes are filled up with absorbed beings, ill have to swap out if i want to absorb a new creature.'
Nicks power allows him to absorb any five Living creatures, he already absorbed a Man, snake, Desert Mutant, Polar Bear and now the Creeper. He can swap any of these creatures out for another but there was a week long cooldown between swaps.
It took back up 30 more minutes to arrive, they flew down on helicopters and landed before Nick and the siblings. With unique guns that Nick didnt know the name for, they asked him a few questions before rushing towards the spot where Nick and the siblings said they killed him.
They looked over the junkyar for 15 minutes finding nothing, not even a trace of blood. The only evidence the creature existed was the old truck that had half a dozen rotting bodies with parts missing from them.
A man dressed in all black tactical gear in his mid fourties stepped up to Nick, his face controrted in annoyance.
"You sure you threw it into the shredder? I cant find even a drop of blood in it." The man spoke accusatorially, like Nick had made it all up.
"I threw it into the shredder, its bones and insides were all ground up and spat out. Its not something you'd forget easily." Looking into the mans eyes, Nick radiated an unkown power that sent a chill down the agents eyes.
The man unconsciously tightened his hand on the grip of the gun, prepared to aim if Nick made any sudden move.
From the secured group chat Nick read that the Special Agents, who grew tremendously with the addition of the Hunters into their ranks, were getting into major conflict with these guys who shows up to take care of the Anomaly.
'I work for the special agents branch, we report Anomalies so that those above us take care of it. The only agency that would i can think to take care of it is S.H.I.E.L.D., which are currently infested with Hydra Agents!'
Nick knew not all Shield Agents were Hydra but itd be best not to trust any of them.
"Its my job to find and report Anomalies before safely getting away from them, nothing else. I reported on the anomaly and its last known appearance, its your guy's job to take it from here." Nick broke eye contact and said this to the multiple shield agents around him.
"If you say so, we'll double back and search once again. Then we'll take all three of your testimonies." The man said turning his back and walking away.
Nick hoped that his false report of the creeper having teleportation or invisibility would help cover up the holes in his story, either way they have no proof Nick had anything to do with the dissappearance of the creepers body.
'I should probably stop searching for Anomalies or just stop reporting them until we solves the Hydra problem, the less interactions I have with Hydra the better.'
Opening and clenching his hand, Nick looked at his body strangely. He felt somethings weird coursing through him, the same energy that powered his telekinesis.
He could tell it was related to absorbing the Creeper but he knew it wasn't an ability granted by the Creeper, more like a side affect from absorbing him.
Going through the rolodex of marvel information for a minute, Nick came to a conclusion that explained it perfectly.
'When i absorb creatures, i take in their their entire being. Their strength and presumably their life force! If this is what i think it is, then i must be feeling my Chi!'
The two sibling began retelling the story of what happened to an agent, when they got to the point where Nick grew white fur and bit off the creepers hands, they stopped and looked at Nick who was casually reporting to another agent.
Giving each a look, they silence decided to gloss over that part of the story. The creeper was an unholy supernatural abomination that tried to kill the two, yet Nick defeated with just a cut on his ear to show for it.
They chose to remain silent as theh didnt want to anger an even bigger monster!
