Chapter 839 - Chapter 839: What Are You Doing in This Backwater?

"What a hassle! I've barely fought a few rounds, and now Titans are coming to steal my fight," Muria muttered in frustration upon receiving the news. His mood affected his attacks, which became faster and fiercer. He wanted to take down the evil god's avatar before the other Titans arrived.

Of course, this thought was just a fleeting wish. There was no way he could quickly defeat this powerful avatar of a god. Bane's level of divine power meant that Muria's strength couldn't deal a fatal blow to him.

Crackling lightning and flames danced along Muria's sword and blade—these were manifestations of the Titan and Dragon powers within his body. Against other Legendary beings, this power granted Muria overwhelming dominance. If Muria struck a Legendary opponent, they would need to expend multiple times the energy to heal, just to eliminate the lingering Legendary power in their wounds before they could even begin recovering.

However, when facing Bane's avatar, Muria didn't have this upper hand. Bane wielded divine power, weakened by the world's rules to a level on par with Muria's Legendary power. The energies canceled each other out, blow for blow, leaving Muria with neither an advantage nor a disadvantage.

In this battle against Bane's avatar, the confrontation boiled down to raw physical strength—blade against sword, fist against fist. The flashy techniques Muria usually employed had no effect. The avatar was immune to all spells from first to ninth level, and even Legendary spells with instant-kill effects were useless against it. Only a few special Legendary spells worked, but Muria's direct strikes were more effective than any magic at the moment.

If the battle were to rely on mastery of space or understanding of laws, Muria would lose for sure. How could he, with his relatively limited experience, compete with a god who had existed for countless years? Thus, Muria chose to fight using the most fundamental methods—the techniques he excelled in. After all, the key to victory was always dragging the enemy into your strongest arena.

Boom!

As Muria contemplated his strategy, three multi-colored beams of light tore through the sky, striking the ground around him. The surviving giants and dragons who were watching the fight trembled in fear at first.

But soon, their fear vanished when they saw the three figures stepping out of the beams—black-haired, gold-eyed, wreathed in storms and lightning. There was no need for further explanation—these were definitely allies.

"More Titans have arrived!"

On the other side, the expression of Bane's avatar changed drastically upon seeing three Legendary Titans descending at once. This was a clear indication that the Titans were openly siding against the evil gods.

In such a situation, defeat for the evil gods was inevitable. Even if they managed to suppress these Legendary Titans, the ancient Titans, the Epics, would eventually step in. A god could never win against an Epic Titan, who operated without any limitations in the material world.

"Muria, you've been fighting for long enough. Time for a break!" One of the Titans, now at the pinnacle of the Legendary rank, spoke with a warm smile as he approached Muria. He had already drawn a warhammer, his eyes gleaming with excitement as he stared at Bane's avatar.

For most Titans, facing an avatar of a powerful god was a rare opportunity. Gods of this level only descended in extreme circumstances.

...

In the void, the newly ascended Dragon King, Alista, was speeding through space, but she suddenly stopped upon passing a mid-tier world.

"What's going on? Why am I sensing my daughter's presence here?" Alista's eyes filled with confusion. She hadn't expected to sense her daughter's lingering aura in such a place—it seemed out of the ordinary.

Following the trace of the aura, Alista soon arrived near the dim world's barrier. She circled the world, her massive form causing the entire planet to tremble in fear of her power.

Though even the smallest of worlds dwarfed Alista in size, worlds lacked consciousness and could not fully control their power. As a result, even a newly ascended Epic like Alista had the strength to destroy one.

"Atris is in this world." After confirming that her daughter was indeed inside, Alista decided to investigate. She approached the world's barrier and dug her claws into it, tearing it apart to create a gap large enough for her to enter.

...

Inside the world, Atris, who was tending to her giant beasts, suddenly looked up at the sky. In the far distance, two vortexes appeared in the heavens, and two massive claws emerged, trying to force their way into the world. Elements from the world rushed to those points, frantically attempting to stop the claws from breaking through. Atris could feel the world shuddering.

"This aura… It's my mother's!" Atris immediately recognized the energy. "It's as strong as Dad's now… She's become an Epic and a Dragon King too."

Although she felt a burst of joy at her mother's achievement, Atris knew this wasn't the time to celebrate. She could hear the world groaning in protest, so she quickly flew up to the barrier, moving to intercept her mother.

There, she saw Alista, who was halfway through tearing the world's barrier apart to force her head inside.

"Mom, stop! This is my world! If you keep tearing it apart, you're going to break it!" Atris shouted.

"Huh?" Alista, who had already torn a small rift in the barrier and was about to poke her head through, froze for a moment and turned.

"Atris! It looks like you're doing well. I thought you were in trouble, maybe sealed or imprisoned!" A flash of golden light followed, and the enormous Dragon King disappeared, replaced by a beautiful woman with golden hair.

"Daughter, what have you been through all these years? And where is Deimos?" Alista asked calmly, noticing that her daughter seemed to be in far better condition than she had initially assumed.

"My father has also become a Dragon King and is currently exploring the void."

"Then why are you here in this backwater? You should be in Erathia, building your power base."

"This world belongs to me," Atris replied proudly, pointing to the mid-tier world below. "I control the entire planet. I have access to more resources here than I would in Erathia."

"What's the point of resources here? Can this world produce a proper void legion?" Alista scoffed, but before she could finish, Atris cut her off with a smug look on her face.

"Who says a world like this can't produce elite followers?"

"What could you possibly develop in a world like this?" Alista asked, surprised. It was common knowledge that the higher the world's level of origin, the greater its potential and the higher the inherent quality of its life forms.

"I've got a seedling army of retainers cultivated by an Epic Titan. With enough resources, I can grow them into an elite army."

"You and Ansor are a thing now?" Alista's face showed surprise. She remembered that, before she left for the void, her daughter had been entangled with a Titan and even claimed she would marry him. At the time, Alista had dismissed the idea, thinking it impossible—Titans were far too few and rarely formed unions with outsiders.

But now her daughter had obtained a retainer army seedling from an Epic Titan, which was a clear indication of their relationship.

"That's right!" Atris answered casually. Marrying Ansor was one of her greatest accomplishments, and the second was giving birth to Muria.

"Not only did I marry Ansor, but we also had a son. His name is Muria."

"Well done! How old is my grandson now?" Alista smiled warmly. Though she had achieved immortality, the news of a new generation still brought her great joy.

"Nearly 400 years old."

"At that age, he should already be married, right?" Hearing Muria's age, Dragon King Alista's curiosity peaked. "So, did he marry a Titan or a golden dragon?"

"Neither. You'll never guess," Atris replied with a mischievous smile, enjoying the playful exchange with her mother. Much of her eccentric personality came from the way Alista had raised her.

"Neither a dragon nor a Titan? With such noble bloodlines, normal beings wouldn't be able to handle him. So, is it an abomination?"
