Chapter 824 - Chapter 824: The Loyal Admirer

"I've decided to launch a crusade against the Synapse subcontinent, the Haven of the Evil Gods. I will cleanse that land with sword and steel, erasing all evil from it, ensuring the Haven of the Evil Gods ceases to exist."

Muria still vividly remembered his previous experience on the Synapse subcontinent, especially the twisted worldviews of the inhabitants of the Evil Gods' haven. Despite being intelligent creatures, they were worse than the wild beasts living in the wilderness. They had no moral compass and would do anything to survive or become stronger.

Killing one's wife, eating one's own children, patricide… The residents of the Synapse subcontinent would do it all. Their complete lack of morality disgusted Muria to the core, clashing deeply with both his past and current beliefs.

Moreover, most of these residents were worshippers of evil gods. Muria had no intention of playing the saint and enlightening them. He wasn't interested in wasting time teaching them. Instead, he felt that sending them to the underworld with sword and spear was a better solution.

After purging the land, Muria planned to resettle his own people there, allowing them to live, thrive, and erase the evil reputation of the Haven of the Evil Gods from the Synapse subcontinent once and for all.

When Muria announced his intent to wage war on the Synapse subcontinent, none of his subordinates were particularly surprised. This had already become an open secret among the high-ranking members of Synapse.

Anyone in a sufficiently high position knew that Muria had been preparing to declare war on the Synapse subcontinent for some time, and they were mentally ready for it.

"Lord Muria, the million-strong Yinhwang giant army is ready for your command," declared Mang Gu, a legendary giant from the Yinhwang world, kneeling on one knee before Muria.

Mang Gu had experienced great difficulty upon first arriving in Erathia. The world's rules were far more refined than those of the Yinhwang world, and as a legendary creature, he was heavily suppressed. However, with Muria's help, he had adapted to the rules of Erathia. After adjusting, his strength surged significantly, making him comparable to native legendary giants.

"This is a war against an entire subcontinent. Relying solely on the giants of Synapse and Yinhwang won't be enough. I need more warriors."

Sitting solemnly on his throne, Muria's gaze was serious. The world of Erathia consisted of twelve subcontinents and a main continent. The main continent was larger than all twelve subcontinents combined. And how large were these subcontinents? They were about the size of Earth's surface from Muria's previous life. Expecting fewer than two million giants to conquer and scour every corner of such vast land was sheer madness.

So, Muria needed more warriors. Fortunately, he had been preparing for this for centuries. With the forces he had built up, he now had the qualifications to wage war against the Synapse subcontinent.

Of course, while he had the qualifications to initiate the war, the current forces of Synapse would not be enough to conquer the Haven of the Evil Gods. After victory, Muria would still need to relocate settlers and govern the land. His current population simply wasn't enough.

However, Muria wasn't worried about numbers during the war. Once news of his campaign to cleanse the Synapse subcontinent spread, many benevolent factions would flock to support him, as they had done in the past. He had already experienced such treatment.

As soon as Muria declared war, external aid would begin to pour in. Even several good-aligned gods would likely send their followers to assist him.

"Send out a summoning order to Synapse's allied forces. Have them prepare their armies. I need them now," Muria ordered.

With this command, Synapse came alive. In Wind King's Castle, teleportation arrays connecting more than ten subcontinents began to activate. One after another, storm giants mounted on giant eagles entered the arrays, disappearing into them to deliver the summoning orders.

...

On the Ionia subcontinent, a massive dragon-wolf, covered in golden fur and crowned with two horns, lay lazily on a cliff, looking down at the valley below. However, its gaze occasionally flicked toward a raised platform jutting out from the cliffside.

This platform housed a massive inter-world teleportation array, built a century ago by a group of cloud giants dispatched from Synapse. As long as this array existed, the wolf king could travel to Synapse from anywhere in the world, and Synapse could send orders to him through it.

While the dragon-wolf basked in the sun, the platform below him began to shimmer. Runes glowed one by one, followed by intense spatial ripples. The dragon-wolf's attention was immediately drawn to the array.

A giant eagle shot out of the array and circled the sky before landing next to the dragon-wolf. A storm giant in resplendent armor dismounted from the eagle and stood beside the dragon-wolf. After a brief bow to show his respect for the legendary beast, he read the summoning order aloud.

"Lord Muria commands Wolf King Hughes to gather and organize all of his forces within one month, ready to travel through the teleportation array to another realm for battle."

"Master's summons!" The dragon-wolf had initially been surprised when the storm giant descended, but once he heard the contents of the order, his furry face lit up with excitement.

"Master finally remembered me. He's finally putting me to use!" The golden wolf king stood up. His enormous wolfish body rapidly morphed, transforming into a wolf-headed giant. Golden dragon scales grew across his body, forming a crude set of armor, and he pulled a golden spear from his spatial ring, modeled after Muria's Sun Piercer Spear.

"Tell Master that I will gather my forces and be at Synapse within three days," the wolf-headed giant declared to the storm giant standing beside him.

"Wolf King Hughes, His Highness isn't asking for speed. Make sure your army is fully assembled and organized before you head to Synapse. You likely won't be staying long there and will head straight into battle," the storm giant advised.

"Don't question my command over my forces. Every one of my subordinates will fully obey my orders. Three days is more than enough," the wolf king retorted confidently.

With that, he strode to the edge of the cliff, his spear in hand. The dragon horns on his head pointed skyward as he opened his wolfish maw, baring his sharp fangs. Then, a howl echoed across the land, shaking the heavens and the earth.

"Howl—!"

As the wolf king's summoning howl reverberated through the air, wolf-headed giants surged out from the city below, assembling into neat formations as they marched. Simultaneously, enormous birds soared out from the cliffs below the wolf king's dwelling, flying in all directions. The wolf king of Ionia had more subordinates than the ones visible at the moment.

...

"Renata, ruler of Zaitsek, you are commanded to gather all your forces within 30 days, ready to mobilize through the teleportation array to engage in combat in another realm..."

A giant eagle with colorful feathers flew through the sky and landed atop an active volcano. A storm giant dismounted and entered the obsidian palace at the peak. Inside, a crimson dragon lay coiled on the throne. The giant delivered the command to the ruler, Renata.

"I've waited so long for this. Muria, you've finally called me back." Upon hearing the order from Synapse, Renata, the red dragon who had grown accustomed to ruling, revealed a complex expression.

"Renata, remember your place. Muria is married now, and both metallic dragons and Titans only have one partner in their lives," the storm giant reminded her.

"I know, I know. I've never dreamed of anything happening between me and Lord Muria, nor have I ever expected to have an important place in his life. I know I'm not worthy," Renata said sorrowfully. "But as long as I can help him, as long as he sends for me to fight on his behalf, I'm content."

"Aside from the summoning order, did Muria say anything else to me?" Despite her words of self-denial, Renata eagerly looked to the storm giant, her hope apparent.

"No, there were no additional messages. Just this one order," the storm giant replied firmly. He silently mused about yet another female dragon who had fallen head over heels for Muria. In Synapse, there was no shortage of dragons infatuated with him. After all, Muria was the perfect mate, whether by status, power, or appearance.
