8 people arrived in front of a cave entrance along with 8 flying mounts.
The 8 people were actually divided into 2 groups.
The first group consisted of 1 Crusader with green hair and pale skin in his early 30s, 1 Crusader with dark green hair and pale skin in his early 20s, a Knight with gray hair in his mid-20s, and a Guard with pink wavy hair and tanned skin in his mid-20s.
The second group consisted of 1 muscular female Crusader with white hair sporting a very short hairstyle, tanned skin and in her late 20s, 1 burly Crusader with black hair and tanned skin in his late 20s, a female Knight with short blue hair and tanned skin in her late 20s, and a Guard with orange dreads and dark skin in his mid-20s.
If Vivian were here to meet all of them, she would recognize one of them -- the Crusader in the first group with dark green hair, pale skin and in his early 20s, "Wilhem" (Ch. 292).
The green-haired Crusader with pale skin turned to Wilhem.
"We'll wait here for reinforcements," he said and then turned to the pink-haired Guard with tanned skin. "Guard Emilien, head back to the base and request for reinforcements."
The pink-haired Guard saluted.
"Yes, Honored Priest High Lieutenant Benedikt!" he said and then went over to his mount, which was a gray-colored Draghorn.
Wilhem turned to Benedikt.
"Couldn't we just hunt down the enemy ourselves?"
"We could," Benedikt said. "But we would have to split with whatever little members we have. These caves in Mount Vald'mir are owned by several families and they have been thoroughly excavated in search of precious metals and ancient relics or artifacts before the Age of Magic, so it's like an endless labyrinth, just like the mountains in the Iron Kingdom."
The gray-haired Knight stepped forward.
"I'll check the surrounding area to see if there's anything strange."
Benedikt nodded.
"Okay, Knight Lieutenant Orjan."

Orjan turned into a blur.
The 2 Crusaders and 1 Knight from the other group approached them and saluted.
"Greetings, and may the God of Light always be with you, Brothers. I am Sister High Lieutenant Esmeralda of the Infantry Division," a muscular and tanned-skinned female Crusader with very short white hair said and smiled.
"May the God of Light always be with you, Brothers. I am Brother High Lieutenant Gonzalo of the Infantry Division," a burly and tanned-skinned male Crusader with black hair said and smiled.
"I am Knight Lieutenant Susana! It's a pleasure to meet you!" a tanned-skinned with short blue hair said.
Benedikt turned to them and saluted.
"May the God of Light always be with you, Sister High Lieutenant Esmeralda, Brother High Lieutenant Gonzalo, and Knight Lieutenant Susana," he said and smiled.
As for Wilhem, he didn't even spare Susana and a second glance and then immediately focused on Esmeralda and Gonzalo.
With Gonzalo, he only gave him a quick look. Meanwhile, for Esmeralda, his eyes focused on her white hair for a moment, then shifted to her muscles, and then finally her face.
"You're Sister Esmeralda of the Mano de Luz family from the Marbleam Chapter Temple, aren't you?"
Gonzalo raised an eyebrow at Wilhem and then looked at Benedikt.
Judging from their faces, it seemed that Benedikt was in his late 20s, while Wilhem was in his early 20s. With that, he was assuming that Benedikt was the Commanding Officer.
However, Benedikt showed no reaction.
Esmeralda let out a warm smile.
"You are correct. And you are?"
Benedikt saluted.
"I am Brother Lieutenant Wilhem of the Infantry Division."
Esmeralda, Gonzalo and Susana's eyes widened for a brief moment. They weren't expecting him to have the rank of a Lieutenant at his age.
"You must be quite capable to have reached that Rank at your age."
"Brother High Lieutenant Benedikt here is saying that our Squad should wait for reinforcements before we enter and chase down the enemy. But since you and your group are here, why don't we have a a little contest?"
"A contest of what?"
"Whoever could chase and put that enemy down first gets a prize: The winner gets to make a request to the loser."
"And what type of request would that be?"
"Anything. But in my case, my request is to have a duel with you to the death, but not True Death."
"Mind your manners, BROTHER LIEUTENANT. You're talking to a high-ranking officer," Gonzalo said.
Wilhem paid him no attention and continued solely focusing on Esmeralda.
Esmeralda folded her arms.
"You don't mind fighting with women?"
"Only feeble minds would care about such trifling things. What is important is a person's capabilities."
Gonzalo turned to Esmeralda.
"Sister High Lieutenant, allow me to educate this Crusader."
Esmeralda's lips broke into a smile and she waved her hand.
"There's no need," she said and then focused on Wilhem. "Brother Lieutenant Wilhem, right? I like your spirit. My grandfather, Brother Avalon, would definitely enjoy the company of someone like you. But unfortunately, what Brother High Lieutenant Benedikt said is correct."
Wilhem raised an eyebrow.
"You're from a Golden Family and you're afraid?"
Esmeralda turned around and then walked away.
"Individual raw strength isn't everything, Brother Lieutenant. Best you remember that."
"That enemy could be long gone before reinforcements arrive and then would cause more victims in the future!"
Esmeralda stopped and then faced him.
"There's a very old adage among fighters: 'If you encounter a powerful being out in the wild, that means there are other powerful beings nearby.'
"The tunnels in these caves are like a labyrinth. You would need at least 2 Platoons to search for the enemy. And that's just assuming that the enemy doesn't have other companions lurking around.
"Enough lives have already been taken tonight. I don't plan on adding more to that number by sending our companions to a death trap without the necessary resources."
"And if the enemy manages to escape? What are you going to do then? How are you going to take responsibility?!" Wilhem asked.
"Before coming here, I've already sent out people to the surrounding bases to ask for reinforcements and also watch out for any suspicious individual or group traveling."
When Esmeralda noticed on Wilhem's face that he couldn't rebuke anything that she said to him, she resumed walking away.

Her Lightning Golem came back and then immediately started covering the hole with the pile of rocks that came from digging the hole, while Vivian sat inside the hole in an Indian sit position with her belongings on her right side.

As soon as the golden ring manifested on her back, the lightning on her hand immediately crawled over her body and into the ring, where it was being absorbed. And once the lightning was fully absorbed, the golden ring grew x4 its size. However, because there wasn't enough space inside the hole, it was bent.
She deactivated the Lightning Golem.

She grabbed her belongings as she got up and stepped out.

Vivian's bones began cracking and her skin slowly turned to red as she began transforming.

Once the transformation was complete, she became a 3-meter-tall red demon.
She had 2 protruding horns on her forehead, a beast-like face with red glowing eyes and fangs, Draghorn-like wings with a span of 5 meters, bipedal legs, long and sharp claws and talons, a tail, and with some fur on her head, back, tail and the lower half of her body.
Chud, chud!
Her right hand carrying her belongings suddenly dropped her belongings, and then both of her hands grabbed her neck and squeezed.
'KILL YOURSELF…!!!' a beast-like voice screamed inside her head.
What…?!
Her hands around her neck squeezed tighter.
'KILL YOURSELF…!!!'
What the fuck is going on…?!
As she tried to pull her hands away from her neck, they only tried to squeeze tighter to the point her neck started to bleed due to her claws puncturing her skin.
'KILL YOURSELF…!!!'
She focused and summoned all of her mental and physical strength to loosen the grip of her claws and pull her hands away from her neck.
'KILL YOURSELF…!!!'
She managed to pull her hands away from her neck.
'KILL YOURSELF…!!!'
[Dark Arrow].
Woo, chaaak!
A 15-inch-long arrow made out of dark and sinister aura shot out from one of her palms and then landed on her right eye.
'KILL YOURSELF…!!!'
"AAAHHH….!!!" she roared in pain and the fear effect of the Dark Affinity spell assaulted her mind.
Whether it was due to fear, her desire to live, the pain, or everything, she managed to break away from the control of the beast-like voice constantly screaming inside her head.
'KILL YOURSELF…!!!'
[Greater Origin Transformation].
BLAAAK!
BAA-KRAAG…!
She transformed into a 10-meter-tall Greater Demon and her head shot through the ceiling, causing the entire cavern to shake.
The beast-like voice vanished, but her mind was still assaulted with fear.

A green light enveloped her giant body and the fear she felt vanished.
