Novus 17, 3023, Day of Friar, 6:24 a.m.
Priest Quarters Building, Third Inner Stanza Border Checkpoint.
Vivian wore nothing but a bathrobe as she stood in front of a full-body mirror inside her room.
"I guess this is it…"
She leaned forward a bit and then checked each side of her hair to make sure if it was really balanced.
After 2 weeks of hiding…
My hair is finally balanced…!
Vivian's hair was back to being short. However, she no longer had any bangs.
Damned that time when I cut my own hair for the first time…!
I literally had to trim my bangs every day back at She'kel Village if I wanted to even see anything beyond my eyes…!
She stepped closer to the mirror and touched her hair, which was her natural hair color -- purple with red highlights.
An image of Basilio flashed inside her head.
So once a person masters 6 Physical Art Masteries or around 300 points, their hair and nails grow crazy, huh…
No more playing with hair color anymore for me…
Unless I want to paint my hair every 12 hours…
She turned away and headed to the closet to grab some clothes.
But I'm really surprised…
So once your Physical Force reaches 500+ points, everything on your path gets destroyed…
How come it wasn't like that in the movies and shows back in my world…?
She reached the closet and then shook her head.
Well…
For starters, those were movies and shows…
Meanwhile, this is real life…
Huge difference, stupid…
She grabbed some clothes.
But what's going to happen once I reach 1,000+ points…?
Reality itself would bend...?
And then I could go back in time…?
She suddenly stopped while she was in the middle of putting on her bra.
Hold on…!
Let's say I do get the ability to go back in time -- kinda of like a rewind thingy…
Specifically, before I got this body…
What's going to happen…?
Will I vanish…?
I mean, will the original soul of this body come back…?
Also, would I also lose my skills and spells, like regress…?
On the other hand, if it's not a rewind-type of traveling back in time and I got back to the time before I got this body, what then…?
There would be 2 of me…
I mean, I'm in this body and the other body would have the original owner…
How would she react…?
Would she freak out…?
What are we going to talk about once she finally calms down…?
And would I even let her live…?
I mean…
Technically, we're the same 'body' or clone…
So whatever she does, it would reflect on me…
Yeah…
There's no place for 2 Vivians in this world…
There can only be 1 Vivian…
And it's going to be me…
She resumed putting on her bra.
"What's the point of thinking about such things? It's as if I'll even get that kind of power."

9:31 a.m.
A man in his early 20s with long gray hair tied into a ponytail raised his hand forward. It was Julius, one of the Guards assigned to the Third Inner Stanza Border Checkpoint. And behind closed doors, he was labeled as one of "Inquisitor Monad's pets".
[Fire Arrow].
Woooh!
A man, also in his early 20s but bald and with brown skin, raised his hand forward. It was Pamor, another Guard assigned to the station and also labeled as one of "Inquisitor Monad's pets".
[Ice Arrow].
Woooh!
And the third man, also in his early 20s, but with brown medium-length hair, raised his hand forward. It was Wayne and he too had the same situation of the first 2 Guards.
[Earth Arrow].
Woooh!
An arrow made out of fire, an arrow made out of ice, and an arrow made out of solid clay all shot towards Vivian, who was standing about 5 meters from them.
Poof, poof, poof.
When the spells landed on her body, they immediately disappeared as if they struck an impenetrable wall.
[Ice Arrow].
[Fire Arrow].
[Earth Arrow].
Julius, Pamor and Wayne threw the same spells once again.
Poof, poof, poof.
[Ice Arrow].
[Fire Arrow].
[Earth Arrow].
Poof, poof, poof.
[Ice Arrow].
[Fire Arrow].
Poof, poof.
Julius and Pamor continued hurling spells. Meanwhile, Wayne stopped for a moment because he ran out of mana. He picked up a High Mana Potion on his side and then opened it. There were 9 other High Mana Potions remaining.
[Ice Arrow].
[Fire Arrow].
[Earth Arrow].
Poof, poof, poof.
Wayne resumed hurling spells with Julius and Pamor.
[Ice Arrow].
[Earth Arrow].
Poof, poof.
This time, it was Pamor who ran out of mana and he did the same thing. And just like Wayne, he drank 1 High Mana Potion and still had 9 other High Mana Potions left.
All of them were each given 10 High Mana Potions for today and they were all from Vivian. Each bottle costs 20 silver coins and Vivian bought 600 pieces, which was 12,000 silver coins or 1,200 gold coins -- an amount that was more than a Guard Captain's annual salary (Ch. 279).
The reason why she only gave each of them 10 High Mana Potions for today was because she didn't want them to develop Mana Potion Immunity from drinking too many Mana Potions in one go or over one day. In fact, she doesn't even plan to have them drink 10 Mana Potions every day to avoid the Mana Potion Immunity disease to arrive quicker. Because if in case they got into a fight and they needed to quickly recover their mana, but Mana Potions have no effect on them because of Mana Potion Immunity, they would be atat a huge disadvantage and could die, and then Vivian would be slapped with several cases from the Holy Crusade, the Knights Chapter and from the Guard's family.
It's also important to note that Mana Potion Immunity wasn't permanent. It was like drinking alcohol. If a person drinks the same alcohol every day, they would develop a tolerance to it and would require more glasses or bottles of that drink in order to get drunk. But if a person only drinks once a week or once a month, just one glass or bottle would be enough to make them drunk.
A few minutes later…
[Fire Arrow].
Woooh!
Poof.
Julius hurled the last spell.
Vivian turned to the rest.
"All of you finished your Mana Potions?"
Julius, Pamor and Wayne nodded.
"Yes, Honored Priestess Inquisitor!"
Vivian turned to Lafa, who was sitting and waiting on the side.
Although she also gave him 10 High Mana Potions for today, unlike the others, his True Magic Art Affinity, which was only one, Soul. And unfortunately, Vivian was immune to Soul Spells because she had fully mastered her [Soul Mastery], so he would have to use it on another person.
"Guard Lafa."
Hearing his name, Lafa immediately got up and saluted.
"Honored Priestess Inquisitor Monad!"
"Don't forget to properly use the Mana Potions I gave you," Vivian said and then turned to Julius, Pamor and Wayne. "I expect you 3 to assist him."
The trio saluted.
"Yes, Honored Priestess Inquisitor Monad!"
"That's it for today. Dismi--" Vivian said and then stopped before focusing on Wayne and Lafa. "Guard Wayne, Guard Lafa, I've been meaning to ask. The both of you, are you related or something?"
Although she never bothered to check their records because she keeps forgetting about it, no matter how she looks at it, they both could pass off as twins, or at least brothers. Also, they both had the same accent, someone from the Twin Kingdom.
Julius maintained his usual passive expression, Pamor was trying his best not to smile, Wayne wore the same expression as Julius, and Lafa had a silly smile.
"Actually, we've been asked that so many times by many people, Honored Priestess Inquisitor," Wayne said. "The truth is, we aren't. I was born and raised in As'tral Town in the Twin Kingdom."
Lafa nodded.
"That's right. I'm also from the Twin Kingdom, but I grew up in Me'arh Village."
"What about your parents?" Vivian asked.
"My parents are together, Honored Priestess Inquisitor, and I also have younger siblings who looked like me. But my youngest sister has black hair, just like my father," Wayne said.
"My parents are also together and I have 2 older sisters, and we all have brown hair," Lafa said.

1:39 p.m.
Vivian was inside her office and sitting behind her desk. She was enjoying a glass of red wine and some cheese, so she was wearing her Inquisitor Half-Mask, as she studied a map of the Great Plains of Stanza.
It's been a while since I visited the Great Plains of Stanza or the Mobius Mountains…
Those places are safe by now to explore…
So where do I go…?
I need a place that's easily filled with thousands of tiny, aggressive insects…
Mount Vald'mir seems promising…
But it seems too close…
And if something happens again like last time…
I would have to deal with multiple groups from multiple bases…
The closest base would be the Second Stanza Eastern Barracks, which is down south…
From the north, there's the Second Inner Stanza Border Checkpoint, the Third Inner Stanza Border Checkpoint, the Fourth Inner Stanza Border Checkpoint, and possibly even the Fifth or Main Inner Stanza Border Checkpoint…
On the other hand, if I were to choose the Cave of Ya'sha…
Yes, there's only the Third Inner Stanza Barracks and the Third Stanza Southern Barracks…
However, it's too close to the Pit of Tar'asque and the Second Stanza Western Barracks that I destroyed…
There's probably people there trying to rebuild the Second Stanza Western Barracks…
She placed the map to the side and took out another map. This time, it was the map of the Marbleam Kingdom.
Lan'ia Forest and Valley of Draghorn to the northwest and Balencia Plains to the northeast seem promising…
However…
I don't want to face any Aristocratic Noble family at the moment…
She returned her gaze to the Great Plains of Stanza map.
So Mount Vald'mir…?
I mean, it's not like my main goal is to kill people…
***
7:38 p.m.
Vivian was climbing the stairs after eating dinner and there was a bit of a hop on her steps.
Tonight is the night…
I finally get to try them…
She reached the second floor and headed for her room.
I've been hiding for 2 weeks just to let my bangs grow…
And now, my hair is already fixed…
Ka-cha, ku-chud.
She reached the door of her room, opened it, and then entered before closing it behind her.
Her room was currently a bit crowded at the moment because of the 4 crates, and she headed towards one of the crates.
Opening the crate, on top was a layer of wood wool. She scraped the wood wool to the sides until she found what she was looking for.
This one is for Level 6…
She grabbed the item and it was a black-colored 5-meter whip with thorns. The Grade of the item was only Mithril-Grade, which cost 10 gold coins.
Naturally, with her current Physical Force, just one Skill from her and any item between Iron and Rainbow Steel Grade would be completely destroyed, so she didn't care about the Grade. If there were Iron Grade, she would buy it. But unfortunately, for whips like this with special designs, the average Grade was Mithril.
She could buy an Iron or Silver-Grade if she wanted to. But it would be made-to-order and the price would also be higher.
And then for the other one…
Vivian continued scraping the wood wool to the sides until she picked up another whip, which was basically an exact copy.
Should I bring 4 or just bring 2…?
The plan is simple…
Gather thousands of tiny insect monsters, imbue the whips with [Greater Origin Enchant], and then kill them with one [Dual Power Whip]…
She shook her head.
I'll just bring 2 for now…
Try to get a feel of the place first…
***
8:01 p.m.
Vivian was walking within the Third Inner Stanza Border Checkpoint and heading over to the South Gate. On each of her hands were 5-meter-long black whips with thorns wrapped in a coil.
Mount Vald'mir…
I just have to be low-key…
Up ahead at the gate, which was already closed, she noticed 2 people chatting: Garcon, one of the Knights, and a Guard.
When she reached them and they noticed her, the 2 men saluted.
"Good evening, Priestess Inquisitor."
"Good evening, Honored Priestess Inquisitor!"
And then their gazes fell on the thorny whips on her hands. However, neither of them said a word about it.
Vivian nodded.
"Good evening, too."
Wooom!
Thud!
With a simple tap of her foot, she leaped over the two-story wall and then landed on the other side.
Thanks to her STR, which was now 11 (+535), she could jump to the 5th floor of a building. Technically, she would need around 520 points.
• 10 points was the average jump of a normal human being
• 50 points allow a person to jump to the 2nd floor with [Power Leg]
• 100 points allow a person to jump to the 2nd floor
• 160 points allow a person to jump to the 3rd floor with [Power Leg]
• 220 points allow a person to jump to the 3rd floor
• 290 points allow a person to jump to the 4th floor with [Power Leg]
• 360 points allow a person to jump to the 4th floor
• 400 points allow a person to jump to the 5th floor with [Power Leg]
• 520 points allow a person to jump to the 5th floor
This chart or sequence assumes that each floor is 10ft in height and this also considers the gravitational force of the planet.
Garcon, the Guard and the other Guards who were nearby to witness the physical feat that Vivian performed didn't feel anything about it. Given the many things they witnessed in relation to Inquisitor Monad's strength, with some of them even getting to personally experience it, it was no longer shocking.
However, that didn't mean they weren't afraid of her. The memory of her having no qualms about killing an Aristocratic Noble, arresting not just one but two Aristocratic Nobles, ordering the execution of the bodyguards of those Aristocratic Nobles in front of everyone, and then not getting or facing any punishment for it was still very fresh in their minds.
There are even times that they had to remind themselves that she was a Priestess and also an Inquisitor, not a young, powerful and cruel executioner who doesn't listen to or respect authority.
Vivian stared at the dark, vast and endless desert in front of her, and she suddenly felt some butterflies in her stomach and her knees weakened a bit.
It feels like forever since I've seen this view…
[Greater Origin Transformation].
Blaaak!
Her eyes transformed into demon form: black eyes with golden pupils. The world through her demonic eyes was the colors black and white, similar to thermal vision, but much better or clearer because light and heat can't affect it, and all living beings were featured in a blue or red-colored nervous system.
Vooom!
She burst out into a run using about 1/5 of her total Physical Force.
