Another sword strike flashed through the air!
The attackers pulled their usual trick, and the round disc blazed to life, sucking the sword energy into itself.
In the next heartbeat, the sword light exploded from the disc and slammed straight at me!
"Clang!"
I grabbed my bronze sword tight as the impact sent me flying again.
"Just like I thought." My face turned grim.
This disc was built specifically to counter me.
Every attack got swallowed up and fired back twice as hard!
Which meant if I kept using my sword, I wouldn't scratch these guys at all!
"Every technique gets absorbed and doubled back," I said through gritted teeth.
"Guess I'm stuck using just my body." I frowned hard.
If it came down to pure physical strength, I wasn't scared of these people.
