The Pavilion Master looked at me and said, "Let's head upstairs first."
I realized how reckless I'd been and scratched my head, feeling somewhat embarrassed.
I followed the Pavilion Master as we climbed to the top floor of the Pavilion Master Building.
The top floor remained unchanged.
Just like always, the Pavilion Master settled into her rocking chair.
She gazed at me and asked, "You still haven't reached the half-step Martial Marquis realm?"
I nodded quickly, "That's right, I can sense my power growing, but I constantly feel there's a thin barrier between me and the half-step Martial Marquis."
The Pavilion Master gave a faint smile at my words.
"Should I offer congratulations or call you unlucky?" the Pavilion Master chuckled.
I was startled and asked in confusion, "What do you mean?"
The Pavilion Master sipped her tea and said, "You should understand yourself."
