But Elder Adrianne wasn't some idiot. As a top dog in the Great Saint Sect, he moved carefully.
"Why are you spilling all this to me?" Elder Adrianne asked, eyes narrowing.
Walton Greer shrugged. "You don't need to know. Don't believe me? Pretend I never said anything."
With that, Walton Greer started walking away.
"Walton Greer!" Elder Adrianne suddenly bellowed.
His voice turned ice-cold. "Think just because you hit half-step Martial Marquis, you can mess with the Great Saint Sect?"
Walton Greer spun around, grinning. "Of course not. I know the Great Saint Sect's the biggest sect up north, with a real Martial Marquis. I'm not that stupid."
"But..." He looked around. "Elder Adrianne, you're not a Martial Marquis, are you? We're both half-step Martial Marquis. I'm not scared of you."
