Kathleen Drake jumped back, startled, afraid to even touch the jade pendant.
I flicked my finger, and the jade pendant cracked apart instantly.
"Don't worry, I'll find you another protective jade pendant," I told her.
After everything that happened, the jade pendant had actually helped me out some. It wouldn't be right not to pay her back.
Kathleen rushed to say, "Mason Raymond, thank you for saving me again..."
That's when I remembered Watson Thompson's situation.
"By the way, I heard you're doing a concert in Shiglance City soon?" I asked.
The moment I brought this up, Kathleen perked right up.
She said with a hint of pride, "What, you heard about it too? I thought you didn't care about celebrities!"
I looked at her and said flatly, "It's my friend who wants tickets to your concert."
"Your friend wants them?" Kathleen seemed let down.
"If it were you, sure, no problem. But your friend, that's different," Kathleen said deliberately.
