"That hurt a little"

'Hurled through a tree by an oversized grizzly bear wannabe. What a nice introduction to Grimm'

Sprawled on the grass lay Altair, who was contemplating his life choices. Fresh from a powerful swipe courtesy of the Ursa barrelling toward him, along with six Beowolves gunning to end his life.

Thankfully he wasn't injured due to his aura.

'I would've been dead if it weren't for aura'

What just did I say.

A holographic screen appeared out of nowhere, looking at him from above displaying his stats and Aura bar.

"Of course"

'I wanted to be sarcastic...but something stopped me from doing it'

With the "Priestly Temperament" his words and actions were getting filtered and twisted to fit the image of a priest more. His thoughts remained unaffected though for some reason.

[ Skills integrated ]

• Active Shielding

• Enhancement

• Dust Manipulation

• Extrasensory Perception (Environment)

"What a ha—"

Altair's instincts flared up as he quickly he rolled to the side, before two Beowolves pounced exactly where he was. He rolled to his feet, taking a moment for a breath.

"Almost got me, but, it seems your skills are quite lacking"

The Beowolves didn't understand what Altair was saying, but they somehow got even fiercer as they pounced on him again. The Beowolves were slow from Altair's perspective, with a quick hop backwards he effectively got out of their range.

[ Extrasensory Perception : Active ]

Altair noticed the two Beowolves pouncing from his left. Faced with the second attack, he quickly thought of what to do in the situation.

'A weapon. I need a weapon. But let's get out of the way first'

Altair sprang into action. He ducked dodging the Beowolves' pounce, before dashing away to a safe distance. From his location he got a full view of his attackers.

' One Ursa and six Beowolves. Take care of the weaker ones first, then go for the Ursa '

The Ursa and the other four Beowolves headed for him fast, while the two Beowolves that pounced from his side recovered quickly, joining the other Grimm in their attack.

' There was that one item in my inventory labeled as beginner friendly '

Altair, faced with his enemies, was calm–not taking the attack seriously at all. He had the capability to escape, but it didn't sit right with him. Faced with the opportunity to assess his strength he just couldn't let it go. So with a tap he made a selection and brought out his weapon from the inventory.

[ Cross Wing ]

A long, sleek-white cross appeared in Altair's hand. The cross was joined in the middle by a mechanism that let them separate when intended. Each side of the cross had a trigger, one facing the shorter end, the other facing the long end

A rifle x tonfa hybrid.

' So that's why it's beginner friendly. Familiar enough to anyone that even an untrained person can shoot with. While the tonfa gives trained people defensive capabilities and more attack options '

Knowledge previously unknown to him started to flow into his mind. Expertise in Combat gave Altair the necessary information to understand and acknowledge the reason for the label "Beginner Friendly". The abilities were slowly integrating themselves into him.

"Then if you guys wouldn't mind–"

Grabbing the handle for each side, Altair separated the cross down the middle. With a tonfa in each hand, he relaxed his stance with his arms on his sides and a relaxed smile sitting on his lips.

"I'll take the liberty of removing you lot in this world"

Altair shot forward, the ground cracked slightly beneath him, as he fired two shots at the two Beowolves in front of the charge.

The two fell limp, as hard light bullets pierced through their heads. With another burst of speed Altair appeared in front of the group.

"That's 2"

A punch flew forward, shimmering in pale golden light, striking a Beowolf down to ground. With a howl 3 Beowolves leapt forward, with their claws heading for his body.

"That's 3"

Altair spun to the side, dodging the attack, as he pivoted and drove a bone-crunching backhand strike to the Beowolf closest to him.

"That's 4"

' This is going better than expected. Let's go for the Ursa then. '

Confident, Altair lunged towards the Ursa. A clawed arced towards his head— that was met by his raised arm. Two quick jab cracked the Ursa ribcage, followed by an uppercut, lifting its body off the ground, and a kick, sending it flying away as a hail of bullets finished it off in the air.

"That's 5"

Shwoosh!

A claw thrust towards Altair's head, while a second Beowolf swooped down from above—a pincer attack. His aura roared to life as he blocked each attack. With some strain he slammed the Beowolf from above to the other Beowolf. Dust and debris picked up, as the force hammered both Beowolves into the ground– Crunch! –carving a sizable crater where their bodies slowly disintegrated.

"And that's 7"

"Caw"

"Thank you for your ever present support"

Altair turned to the raven sitting on the branch, with a warm smile on his face. Around him lay grimm disintegrating out of existence, and a couple of broken trees.

"Anyway, as I was saying earlier, if we head north we can get to Vale by sundown"

Dismissing [ Cross Wing ], Altair brought out [ Panthera ] from his inventory. A hulking, black motorcycle appeared besides him,

"Caw"

The raven flew over to him and landed on his shoulder. It dropped a thin strip of paper before flying away.

"Flying away after dropping a note"

Altair picked up the strip of paper and read its contents. The paper looked like it was torn from his notebook, using blood as an ink. He read its content with calm look on his face.

"It might be too late to get into beacon without documentation. Go to shady parts of the city and ask for Junior's, maybe you can get lucky, get the papers and gain admission for the entrance exam"

Altair smiled slightly as he folded the strip and stored it in his pocket.

"Thank you for your help, little raven. May the four winds guide you"

As he uttered those last words, golden light shimmered in his eyes that quickly flickered away as he mounted [ Panthera ] driving due north towards Vale.

Blue and red lights flashed as a siren flared for a second. Altair, confused, pulled over to the side walk and dismounted [ Panthera ]. Behind him a police cruiser pulled over with two officers getting off the vehicle.

"Good evening to you sirs. May I ask what I may have done to warrant attention from you?"

"Good evening to you as well sir. Are you aware that you need a helmet when riding a motorcycle?"

"No...no I was not"

A/N: Another chapter done I guess. I'm currently stressing on how do I put Altair into beacon. Maybe through the underworld connections of Junior? And Yang defs gonna appear next chapter.
