By the wooden railing, Lantian stood with her hands clasped behind her back and her eyes looking at the dark view outside through the large opening gap, which was opposite the front door.
From the left, Yang Ying walked her slender body near, but she stopped three steps away and, silently, watched the handsome female. Slowly, the woman before her became a man in his late twenties, with the charm over his muscular body and full of gentleness and generosity. Actually, she knew that this was just an image in her memory, but she really liked to see it even though it was just a dream.
The visual flower of the famous worehouse permitted her feeling to float with the man in imagination until Lantian turned her face, and then she awoke from her illusion. She said, "She is sleeping."
Lantian wagged her head. "Let her sleep."
"Will you sleep here tonight? If you do, I will prepare for you."
"I don't think tonight I can stay. I wait for her to wake up, then I'll take her home."
Slowly, Yang Ying walked close to the high lady. She showed a very small grin before she made a soft question, "Do you miss your teacher again?"
Lantian made her eyes low, and her lips smiled, but her facial expression showed clearly that her mind was very sad.
"Since you came to Wan Hua Lou, I rarely see you happy. When you came, you usually stood here and looked away. You are like your teacher. When he was alive, he liked standing here and watching the sky."
Still a sadness was showing on Lantian's face, and she blew a wind from her nostrils before she muttered, "Teacher likes nature. I remember he took me to the top of the mountain at night; we watched the stars, and then he told me that nature is the source of the arts that never dry out. If we understand nature, then we can get a lot from it, whether it is painting, dancing, or poetry…"
"I don't know about the arts, but I believe you are the one that understands nature, or he would not accept you to be his student."
"But I think I failed him."
"I believe he understands and does not blame you, and I believe one day you will regain yourself."
The words of the host girl that were full of sweetness and encouragement made the sad Lantian smile her cheeks up.
"These two years, if I don't have you, I don't know even if I am able to live till today or not," she said.
Yang Ying extended her lips widely. "It is I who should say this sentence. If I don't meet you, I think I might have ended my life already."
"So, we should thank each other," Lantian giggled.
"Yes, we should." Yang Ying smiled.
Meanwhile, Caihong already awoke. She got up from the bed and walked to have a watch. Through the net screen that blocked the bed and the living room, she looked at the two females that were confronting each other closely. She did not hear them talking, but she saw they were smiling at each other, and this made her mind feel not very happy.
