At a side of the lawn, on a wooden bridge, the sons of Wei and Liu were standing with mouths gossiping but eyes watching four youthful ladies that were staying by the flower park before.
"The girls are pretty," Wei Feng said.
"Yes," Liu Tao wagged. "Do you have any idea where they are from?"
"I don't know, but I'm sure they are from rich families, or they would not be allowed to come in."
"Perhaps they are daughters of millionaire Yang."
Wei Feng shook his head. "They cannot be."
"How can you know they are not?"
"Millionaire Yang organizes this event in order to show off his daughters. I heard he manages his daughters to perform dancing for the guests, so now, they should be in the room and decorate for the performance. I heard that Mayor Wu will come as well."
"So, it means Yang is not small." Liu Tao wagged. He put a cake into his mouth and then chewed it before he made the remark, "I never met him, but I heard my father say he is hard to please."
"It's not strange," Wei Feng claimed. "He has power and wealth. Uncountable farms that the government gives to him. Just renting those lands, in a month, will make Wu's family able to spend for five years."
"I heard he has four wives."
Wei Feng nodded, "Um."
"Will he bring all his wives to attend this event?"
"Only to the banquet of the royal family will he bring his women. Besides, he brings his official wife, his second son, Wu Longwei, and his third daughter, Wu Lantian."
"Wu Lantian!"
"You know her!"
"In the capital, her name is famous. She is the girl that officially wears a man's dress, drinks wine, gambles, and enters the brothel."
"Do you like her?"
Liu Tao shook his head. "She already announced that she likes women, so I think neither I nor other men can have a chance. Furthermore, I've never seen her."
"So, today take your chance. When Mayor Wu comes, open your eyes; the person who walks behind him is Wu Lantian."
Liu Tao narrowed his eyebrows. "She does not walk behind Madame Wu?"
"No, she is behind Mayor Wu. Walking after Madame Wu is Wu Longwei."
"It's strange. It should be the son walking behind the father, but this... why?"
"Perhaps it's because Wu Lantian is the daughter of Madame Wu and Wu Longwei is the son from the third wife."
"If so, why does he bring him?"

Suddenly, a voice echoed, "Mayor Wu is arriving."
At once everyone spun towards the entrance, where Yang Fu and his three wives, along with other rich millionaires, were walking. In the middle of the group, the first row presented a middle-aged adult, tall, with eyes and a face like a hawk's. He stepped at his clear pace, one by one, full of the weight of capability and righteousness. With these features, though people met him for the first time, they were still able to correctly guess he was Mayor Wu Guang.
On the right side was Lady Chen, who was the same age as her husband.
"Master Wu, Madame Wu," the governors and the rich greeted. In return, Wu's master and mistress expressed smiles to them.
Behind Lady Chen was a young man that people were able to know. He was no one besides Wu Longwei, the heir of Wu.
Talking about this fellow, we could see he was born with a tall height like his father but thinner. He had a gentle face and kind characteristics. Also, he was good-looking and humble, which made the girls in the party peep and smile, and most of them felt their hearts in their chests jumping faster than usual.
Well, the young man might look charming and attractive because he was young, but if compared with his father, he was less powerful. Though he was in years, Wu Guang was still strong and energetic. It was strange that Wu Longwei was the biological son of the tiger, but he did not obtain his father's strength. In contrast, the vigor of Wu was seen over the body of the juvenile lassie that was walking behind him.
"She is Wu Lantian," Wei Feng said and pointed.
Following his friend's finger, Liu Tao spotted the girl who was famous around the city in a blue suit of a man's style and a white cloud collar. On her head there was bonded hair and a long ponytail at waist length. Her shoulders were wide open, and over her right thigh, there was a twinkle and a unique charm. Her hands were always behind her back, and in the right palm, there was a fan, which was a male's style as well.
"Aw..." Liu Tao put his palms on his chin, and he made his eyes half-open and smiled. "She is really handsome."
Wei Feng opened his eyes wide when he saw his friend's behavior. But this was what was really happening, because not only Liu but even the colleens that were joining the party exchanged glances from Master Wu's son to his daughter, and some of them experienced hearts beating faster when they saw her. However, their minds were deeply mourning because she was not a man.
"I wish I were a woman," Liu Tao added.
Slap! Wei Feng slapped his friend's head. "You are insane!" He yelled.
"I said truly," Liu Tao claimed while he was fondling the back of his head that was hit at the last moment. "I would agree to be born as a woman if she selected me."
"Your father will cut you into pieces if he hears your speech." Wei Feng said, throwing an irritated glance at his buddy before he rotated his face to the right and left and asked, "Where is Young Master Chen?"
"He goes to the bathroom," Liu Tao said.
"Bathroom? But he takes so long. …"
At that moment the sound of the music got in the way. Together with all guests, Wei Feng and Liu Tao rotated their eyes and faces to a wide space surrounded by colorful flowers before a pond.
