**The Chuckwudi's Mansion**
"Sir Chief Akim and his wife are here to see you" a guard said
"Bring them in" Mr Chuckwudi said with a smile
"Okay sir" he bowed and left
"what do you think they are here for?" his Wife Stella asked
"I'm clueless" Mr Chuckwudi said.
Minutes later Mr and Mrs Akim came inside and walked up to them.
"Welcome to our home, what a pleasant surprise" Mr Chuckwudi said with a smile
"Welcome Chief" Mrs Stella said, she walked up to Joyce and hugged her " How are you my dear friend" Stella asked
"I'm fine, thank you" Mrs Akim said with a smile
"And how's business?" Stella asked again
"Business is fine, we thank God" Mrs Akim
"And how's work?"
"My dear work is fine" Stella said with a wide smile
"Women and gossip" Chief Akim said and the women laughed
"Allow us please" Mrs Akim said and they all laughed
"Please sit down" Mr Chuckwudi gestured to the couch and they sat down
"Thank you" Mrs Akim said
"What can I offer you?" Mr Chuckwudi asked.
"Anything, maybe juice or water" Chief Akim shrugged
"Anny!!!!" Mr Chuckwudi called the maid
"Sir!!!!" she replied and ran out of the kitchen
"Please bring juice for our visitors"He said
"Okay sir" She ran back to the kitchen
"So what do I owe this surprise?" Mr Chuckwudi said
"Hmmm nothing serious, it's just about our children, I just felt like we should start planning for this marriage with immediate effect" Mr Akim said
"I think you're right, the earlier the better" Mr Chuckwudi Concord
"Now that they're a bit serious and have agreed to our terms, if we don't rush things they might make it hard for us" Mr Akim said
"So what's the next step?" Stella asked
"Engagement" Mrs Akim replied
The maid came out of the kitchen with the juice and served them.
"Thank you" Mrs Akim said, the maid bowed and left
"The plan is to get Nelson to propose to My daughter" Chief Akim said
"That's not a problem, leave that to me" Mr Chuckwudi said
"I trust you" Mrs Akim said and they laughed
"So when do he need to propose?" Mr Chuckwudi asked
"Since our children always rub our faces in mud, everyday out names will be in the news because of the lifestyle our children choose to live. I think the proposal should be public so that our names will be clean and your political ambition will go smoothly without any problem" Mr Akim suggested
"Chief Akim I agree with you but getting Nelson my son that I know very well to propose to a girl in public will be very tough" Mr Chuckwudi said
"That's true Chief, I don't think Nelson will agree to do this" Stella said
"Just get him to agree, he's your son. You can handle it" Chief Akim said and Me Chuckwudi exhaled
"Okay then, I'll try my possible best" Mr Chuckwudi said
"Remember what you stand to gain" Chief Akim smiled
"I remember and there's nothing in this world I want other than that" Mr Chuckwudi said
"Very well then, I think you know what to do" Chief Akim raised his gladd
"Cheers?" he said and they all raised they're glasses
"Cheers" they said together
"I am very pleased at the turn out of this meeting, I'm glad that we all agree with each other" Chief Akim said
"It's really wonderful to have you around Chief Akim" Stella said
"Stella my dear, you're really smart like your husband" Chief Akim said
"Thank you Chief" Stella bowed her head a little as a sign of respect
"So How's work?" Chief Akim asked Mr Chuckwudi
"We're trying to expand to different states in Nigeria but currently Imo state is giving us problems" Mr Chuckwudi said
"What kind of problems?" Chief Akim asked
"Well the land we bought is occupied by people, I've given them one week to pack from that area but it seems like they're proving stubborn" Mr Chuckwudi said
"Hmmm why not demolish, what are you wanting for?"
"A lot of them don't have anywhere to go" Mr Chuckwudi said trying to consider the poor people
"And how's that your problem? just demolish the place after all you bought the land from the governor himself. He knows how all this things works before giving you that place" Chief Akim said
"I think you are right, I'll give them one more week, if they don't pack, I'll employ people to go and scatter the place" Mr Chuckwudi said and sipped from his glass
"Good" Chief Akim said
"Darling I was thinking that how about our children spend thier honeymoon in Bali, Indonesia. What do you think?" Mrs Akim said
"I think we've decided to much for the kids, let them go anywhere they like" Chief Akim said and they all Concord
"For now let's look for a house for them to stay after marriage"
"That's true" Mr Chuckwudi said
"They need their privacy" He smirked and they all laughed
"I know they'll definitely fall in love with each other" Stella said
"Definitely, it's just a matter of time" Mrs Akim said
"They look perfect for each other" Mr Chuckwudi said and they all nodded
"Alright then, we should be going now" Mr Akim said
"Thanks for coming" Stella said
They all stood up and went outside, a convoy was waiting for them outside. They entered and left
