"No, they won't listen," the man replied gleefully.
He removed the hood covering his face, revealing his upper features. He had black, curly hair that sagged over his elongated face, but his facial features were hidden beneath heavy clown makeup.
"Hello, Kevin and Ace. It's a pleasure to meet you." The man's mouth widened almost to his ears. With a flick of his fingers, a sunflower suddenly appeared.
He bowed slightly and handed it to Ace.
Ace took a step backward warily. He was about to retreat further when he saw Kevin's message.
"Don't move!"
Ace stopped.
"Why?"
"I sensed danger." Kevin's eyes narrowed. The more he stared at the man, the more he saw threads floating around him, connecting to his body.
Each thread felt sinister and cold, as if being caught in them would lead to an unimaginable fate—worse than death.
In fact, it wasn't just Kevin who saw them. Ace did too. He listened to Kevin and tried to search his memory.
