"Why are you here?"
The Emperor had just finished handling state affairs and was planning to take the twins to the Imperial Garden to relax. Seeing the ever-visiting Prince Ping enter the palace once again, his expression showed obvious disdain.
Prince Ping chuckled and said, "Daomang and Daomiao are so energetic. As your younger brother, I was worried you might get tired, so I thought I'd come help you."
The Emperor shot him a sidelong glance. "There are so many eunuchs and palace maids here. Do I really need your help?" With that, he strode toward the rear hall.
Prince Ping quickly trotted after him.
In the rear hall, the twins were playing games with the palace maids. When they saw Prince Ping arrive, they immediately abandoned their game and ran into his arms.
"Grandfather, we missed you so much!"
Prince Ping squatted down and picked up one in each arm. "Grandfather missed you terribly too. Have you been eating and sleeping well in the palace?"
The twins nodded in unison.
