Third person POV
Shortly after, as Setsuko and his remaining men were arrested, Kichi and a few others in Class 1-A complimented Rachel's cleverness in this mission. "Yeah, thanks, you guys…" said Rachel while blushing at their compliments.
"We owed you one," David said to her positively.
"Come on! You don't have to, David!"
"Hehe, alright then…"
Seeing this, Kichi thought about Rachel. "It seemed that things went well for Rachel-chan now…for now…"
Kichi's POV
Kinda reminds me of something from my past…
[Flashback to 6 years ago, somewhere in the Bicol Region, the Philippines…]
I was traveling with my family to Manila from Legazpi City after a 4-day vacation here in the Bicol Region. We were in a bus terminal waiting for a bus leaving at 10:10 a.m. when suddenly, I sensed danger from a balikbayan box wrapped in layers of packing tape. So, sensing that, I stood up, left my phone, and went there, hearing what it contains. And then, I sensed the same danger of an explosion from it in the form of an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) going to explode 15 seconds now. So, with the risk of violating a law against cracking bomb jokes in airports and transport terminals, I shouted, "Bomba!"
Everyone, including my family, heard that and were in a frenzied panic.
Then, I sensed the same danger for the third time and got out of the way. And…I was right. The bomb inside the box exploded, sending glass shards and other debris flying around like projectiles. I luckily took cover behind a kiosk, and that was how I managed to get out without a scratch.
And then, moments later, the police and some of the terminal's security staff rushed to the scene, seeing and surveying the damage the explosion had done. "Ano ang nangyari dito? (What happened here?)" asked one of the police officers.
"There was an explosion inside this box, sir," I responded while pointing at the now destroyed balikbayan box.
"Huh? How did you know that, bata?" another officer asked.
"I sensed it coming."
"Wait, paano?"
Just then, my mom and stepfather rushed to me and asked if I was injured or something. "No, ma, pa," I replied back.
"Did your ability detected that explosion?" my mother asked.
"Wait, was that ability called ang Danger Detection?" my stepfather said to her.
"Yes, that one po," I replied back, "and sorry po for doing that bomb joke, but I had to."
Hearing the reason behind it, the police and security staff had let me off the hook on the grounds of saving everyone from a bomb attack, much to our relief. They also promised to track down the bomber who was responsible for the attack, and we were allowed to go on our bus trip to Manila that day.
[Back to the present…]
Well…Rachel had given me a déjà vu now, and that time was my first heroic with my ability.
