After the name of Beasts Fruits' medical department became well known, some of the medicines produced by Nightin were mass-produced and sold across various regions. Their excellent efficacy meant Beasts Fruits no longer had to rely entirely on health supplements and special medicines made from Berries.
They also took over the market share of other medicines. As a technical talent, Nightin earned money much faster than those who relied on bounties like the other pirates.
This was solid, real income. There was no need for black market's intermediaries who exchange pirate bounties with the Marines and take a huge cut.
Although she had spent quite a bit over the years, she still managed to save half of her income.
"This makes a lot of things easier. Thanks a lot, Nightin, you've been a huge help."
The majority of pirates profit through plundering, but to avoid trouble, they opt to buy with money when trades are possible, especially when it comes to purchasing rare items.
Breaking the rules would get them blacklisted by the entire Underworld. In that case, they would be truly isolated and helpless.
Moreover, some of the forces behind certain individuals were not to be provoked. If a problem can be solved with money, it isn't really a problem.
"Yeah! Now we can buy materials to build a ship!"
"Sebastian! You're too loud!"
They chose Fullalead as the rendezvous point due to its convenient transportation. Pirates from any force had routes leading here, and Eternal Poses were easy to obtain. Plus, there was no need to worry about the Marines.
If they randomly chose an island, obtaining an Eternal Pose would be too difficult, and they might not even be able to meet in a year or so.
But the biggest downside here was also the presence of other pirates. Fullalead had no rules, it was a paradise where pirates could fight and kill freely. Showing off wealth here would only invite trouble.
"Now that the funding issue is resolved and everyone's gathered, let's leave this place first."
"Too late, Byojack. These pirates have already surrounded us."
Surveying the pirates closing in from all directions, Gairam picked up his hammer, and Sebastian also retrieved two flail maces from under the table.
"It's been a long time, nearly thirty years since we fought side by side."
"Make it quick. We don't know how many of them there are. Before we reunite with World, we can't afford any mishaps."
"Then leave it to me. Once I make a move, remember to hold your breath."
Seeing that Byojack had no intention of getting entangled here, Nightin pulled out something from her pocket that resembled a smoke bomb.
She had left behind allocated items like the Rotom Phone on Onigashima, but she still took some researched weapons, such as this smoke bomb that Queen researched based on Dustox's scales, which can not only obstruct vision but also release a large amount of sleep-inducing powder.
If inhaled accidentally, it would quickly put one to sleep.
Bang!
As Nightin pulled the pin on the smoke bomb, members of the World Pirates took the opportunity to break through the encirclement of pirates. With Sebastian's assistance, they advanced toward another destination.
Meanwhile, elsewhere on the sea, someone was speeding across the water.
Using the power of the ice, a smooth path was frozen across the sea surface, and it extended forward continuously as the wheels rolled.
This was not Kuzan, and the wheels weren't of a bicycle, it was Cyclizar.
Even the rolling wheels were an illusion. For an average Cyclizar, movement still relied on its own limbs. The dual wheels formed by its chest and tail only made running more convenient.
On Cyclizar's back, Yamato was wearing sunglasses and enjoying the thrill of speeding across the sea.
She had originally set out to find Robin, but happened to run into Tesoro's Gran Tesoro midway, and borrowed a suitably sized Cyclizar from there.
As for this mode of travel, she learned it from Kuzan. While it certainly wasn't as fast as flying, it was fun in its own unique way.
Bang!
Cyclizar's tail suddenly lashed at the sea surface, flinging a sea fish into the air. It caught and swallowed it in one bite.
No fuel needed, eco-friendly, and self-feeding. With a speed of 120 kilometers per hour, it was an essential item for travel.
"A little to the left. Robin should be on the island just ahead. Hang in there a bit longer. Once we get there, let's have a proper rest."
"Roar."
Cyclizar shook its head and picked up speed. They were born with a love for running, and their coexistence with humans dates back to ancient times. A distance like this meant nothing to them.
"Even if you're not tired, it's still good to rest a bit. But since you've got so much energy, let's sprint at full speed!"
With a single wave of her hand, a frozen ice path extended directly toward the island ahead.
Cyclizar also broke into a full-speed dash.
"Did something... whoosh past us just now?"
Nearby in the sea, a pirate lookout rubbed his eyes. He seemed to have seen something, but in the blink of an eye, only chunks of ice remained on the water's surface.
Doubting himself a bit, he rubbed his eyes again and handed his binoculars to the companion beside him.
"There's nothing… Still, better inform the captain to be cautious. This is the New World, after all. All kinds of weird stuff happens."
Yamato's racing caused some minor consequences, but it had nothing to do with her.
"Robin, I'm back again!"
"You're not even wrapped in bandages? Looks like you've gotten a lot stronger."
"Nope. I just healed a long time ago, so I took them off. When are we leaving for the Kingdom of Giants? I'm already ready."
"Roar~"
Cyclizar, having landed, stood up again and showed off its muscular figure, signaling that Robin could also ride.
This was a large-sized Cyclizar that Yamato picked specifically to suit her own body size,
so carrying Robin would be easy.
"Plans have changed. We might not be going anytime soon."
"Did something happen?"
"Elbaf is currently holding an event and is temporarily closed to outsiders."
"I checked with Saul, and there really is such an event, he just got the dates wrong."
Robin explained the new reason, while scanning the map for a more suitable destination, but Yamato noticed something off.
"Wait a second. How do you even know that? We're still pretty far from the Kingdom of Giants, aren't we?"
"I made some new friends here. They went hunting on the island, and they should be back soon."
As she was speaking, a tremor came from the center of the island. Then, four male giants and one female Giant dragged a dinosaur out from within.
"They are—"
"Elbaf's new generation of warriors. They call themselves the New Giant Warrior Pirates. They left Elbaf not long ago, looking to make money and fight enemies."
"Didn't you say earlier that there's a shortage of manpower outside? I think they're perfect for the job. After all, they're Giants."
