Hoenn region, Fallarbor Town.
Because of Fallarbor Town's rapid development over the past two years, many companies wanted to purchase parts of Fallarbor Town's land for investment.
For example, just a few months ago, the residents of Fallarbor Town faced a dilemma, whether or not to sell their farmland.
However, after consulting Terrance for his opinion, the residents of Fallarbor Town and Terrance jointly established a special project, transforming the farmland into a huge tourist garden.
This idea didn't come to Terrance out of nowhere; it was the result of combining his own needs with his desire to create benefits for the residents of Fallarbor Town.
The residents would provide the land, and he would be responsible for Pokémon and flowers, planning to turn the farmland areas of Fallarbor into a viewing zone. This viewing zone could complement the Fallarbor Woods scenic area to achieve long-term profitability.
Naturally, Terrance had no intention of taking advantage of the residents; he planned to distribute the profits fairly with them, striving to ensure everyone could make money. This way, the residents would receive greater benefits than by simply farming or selling their land, and Terrance himself would benefit even more.
Aside from the profits brought by tourists, the main benefit for Terrance was that he could leverage the power of the entire Fallarbor Town to help him raise Pokémon like Cutiefly.
Cutiefly—this Pokémon was the key to Terrance's plan for building the garden.
An ordinary garden wouldn't have much sightseeing value, but if it was a garden inhabited by Cutiefly, that would be very special.
Cutiefly feeds on nectar and pollen, and after eating, it can release special waves that have miraculous effects on flower growth, making the flowers even more beautiful. Terrance had checked the information from Alola, and the flowers in places where Cutiefly lived were exceptionally beautiful, so much so that even by Terrance's standards, they were highly ornamental.
Surely, such flowers would be able to attract people.
In addition, the sweet nectar produced by Cutiefly is a top-grade flavouring, and raising Cutiefly was quite straightforward with Altaria's Fairy Aura. If they stay in Fallarbor Town, growing to evolution would practically be a natural progression. After evolving, the pollen puffs produced by Ribombee would be another source of income, which is why Terrance was certain this garden project would be a guaranteed success.
Moreover, what Terrance cared about even more was the mass breeding of Ribombee.
Ribombee is a Fairy Type and Bug Type Pokémon. If Ribombee could also form a group form, like the Monarch of Wings composed of Beautifly in Fallarbor Woods, wouldn't that become another additional force?
And as long as they're Fairy Type Pokémon, they can be integrated into Terrance's Fairy army.
You have to know, every Ribombee can use Dazzling Gleam, and with special training, they can even learn Moonblast. This means the power of these Ribombee can be perfectly incorporated into Terrance's ice moon strategy built around Mega Altaria and Ninetales.
The powerful aspect of Terrance's core strategy is his ability to perfectly merge all the Fairy energy from different sources into a single force, creating tremendous destructive power. This concept is similar to the "Spirit Bomb" from a certain world. [TN: DBZ]
Of course, breeding of Ribombee is still a long way to go; after all, the first batch of Cutiefly had just arrived in Fallarbor Town...
These Cutiefly were the special Cutiefly that Terrance had long ago asked the Aether Foundation's Faba to breed for him.
...
...
Outside Fallarbor Town, as Terrance and Troy walked into Fallarbor Town, they were immediately attracted by the massive garden before them.
"It's already taking shape..."
However, seeing the roughly completed garden, Terrance was slightly surprised. The flowers had obviously just been transplanted and hadn't grown yet.
"Looks like Kotoko hasn't started the modifications yet..." Terrance smiled inwardly. Kotoko had a Vileplume, and her Vileplume could use Grassy Terrain to easily accelerate plant growth.
Another similar example was Venusaur, whose special abilities are even more remarkable. It could manipulate nature, causing flowers or trees to bloom, and could even control roots and branches to attack. In fact, some powerful Venusaur could even help the seed on a Bulbasaur's back grow, causing it to evolve.
Thanks to the existence of Grass Type, Water Type, and Ground Type Pokémon, agriculture in the Pokémon world was extremely advanced.
It could be said that a veteran Trainer specializing in Grass Types who goes into farming could live comfortably and flourish sooner or later. Of course, that was on the premise that the Grass Type Trainer was truly a veteran; if it was just an amateur who happened to catch a few Grass Type Pokémon, dreaming of making money by ripening plants would be nothing but a fantasy.
"Let's go, we'll head to the Fallarbor Gym first," Terrance said to Troy.
After coming to Hoenn, Master Victor had left on his own. Terrance wanted to invite him to Fallarbor Town, but was refused by Master Victor.
Although he felt helpless, Terrance couldn't change Master Victor's mind, and could only let him go. Besides, Terrance realized he was probably worrying too much; after all, Master Victor was a Top Breeder with a distinguished identity and rich life experience; he didn't need advice from a youngster.
Fallarbor Gym.
Bringing Troy into the Gym, Terrance saw Taiga cleaning up and greeted him with a smile.
"Hey, Taiga, how come you're hanging around the Fallarbor Gym today?"
As the sound of the Gym doors opening and the voice entered his ears, the chubby Taiga's ears twitched and he looked up in surprise.
"Brother Terrance!"
Taiga approached happily and said, "School's on break, so I've been helping out at the Gym recently."
As Taiga grew up, the little guy found his own goal, to become a famous chef and Top Trainer like Chef Siebold.
Naturally, Terrance fully supported his dream, and soon arranged for him to study at a western culinary school called "New Western."
"And this is..." Seeing Troy, who was slightly younger than him, following behind Terrance, Taiga showed a surprised expression, "Is he a challenger?"
"No, he's a new apprentice at the Gym. His name is Troy," Terrance said, pulling Troy over.
"Troy, from today on, this will be your other home. You'll grow here, become stronger, and make a name for yourself. Got it?"
"Yes!" Troy had been looking around this obviously Bug Type–themed Fallarbor Gym with surprise since he entered, and now he could barely contain his excitement.
Terrance smiled and looked at Taiga. "Stop cleaning for now. Do you know where those Cutiefly that were delivered earlier are? Take me to see them."
"I think they're in the Gym's rear garden," Taiga thought for a moment and replied.
After speaking, Taiga led Terrance and Troy to the rear garden. Here, not only were the Pokémon of the kids from Old Green House playing, but also Kotoko's Pokémon and the Gym's little bugs.
Of course, there were also new members. When Terrance saw the group of small, bee-like, adorable Cutiefly, his expression immediately became one of anticipation.
