I LOVED HIM, SO WHAT?
Jace couldn't sleep well as he woke up early on Monday, preparing for school. His brother's overwhelming behavior is annoying him. He slung his bag on his shoulder and exit the house. His mother quickly rushed after him, giving him a food flask.
"Please eat it," She said and Jace looked at her. He knew sooner when Ethan's mum arrived, his mother wouldn't be able to cook at home again. He should enjoy it, why he can. Furthermore, he nodded and smiled at her, then he left.
" Mum, where is my food? Is it only Jace?" Ethan said teasingly and Bliss looked at him annoyingly and left to bring his food, but Ethan pour it away in her presence
"Oops, it tripped," He said and smirked, getting in the car and the driver drove away. Bliss was frustrated, she almost slapped him, but she holds it all in, surpassing the anger by breathing through her mouth.
Arriving at the school gate, Jace saw Nala and went to her
"Hey"
"Morning" Nala greeted
" Where are the others?"
"None of those two have arrived, you are early today too, you've been coming late these days," Nala said and Jace fake smiled. Just then, Donald arrived, with his headphones on, singing "LIFE GOES ON BY BTS"
" Life goes on like this again" He mimicked the song and sighted his friends
" Oh my, Anneyong chingu," Donald said in the Korean language means hello friend.
" Are you cursing us?" Nala said with disgust then Donald burst into laughter
" No, that's why I told you to learn Korea from me. It simply means 'Hello friend' that's it" Donald said proudly.
" Yeah, what are you up to these days," Nala asked
" I've been listening to BTS music lately, I wish I could join them and that will be eight boys instead of seven"
" Hey keep dreaming, they don't need incompetent like you," Nala said and Donald stopped smiling
" Joy killer. Don't worry, as long as my boys are fine, I'm also fine" Donald said
" Omg, I almost think you are gay," Nala said and Donald looked away and saw Jace who was quiet the whole time
" There you go again, spacing out. You would rather not tell us, either. You don't see us as a reliable friend again" Donald said and Jace looked at him
" No I didn't think it that way, it's just that I want to sort things on my own but… It's now out of hand" Jace said, and they looked at him,
" As how?" They both asked at once
" Actually, on the day of our resumption, Ethan arrived from England," Jace said and his friends were shocked, transfixed
" Jace! How dare you hide it from us, you are a betrayal!" Donald shouted and Jace touched him.
" I'm sorry, I would rather not drag you to it like five years ago," Jace said with an apology look,
" What did you mean it's out of hand?" Nala asked
" Ethan is transferring to our school," Jace said, and as he had imagined, the look on his friend's face was a mixture of sadness, shock, confusion, and anger.
" That rat!" Donald ranted
" We should tell Kate too, she needs to stay away from him" Nala quickly said
"No don't! It seems they know each other" Jace said, and Donald's eyes widened,
" Did she remember meeting him when we were kids?" Donald asked
" Did Ethan remember her" Nala also asked and Jace shook his head
" I think none of them remembered, they encounter each other again and if we asked Kate to stay away from him that will be suspicious. And I knew Ethan won't reveal the fact that we are stepbrothers" Jace said
" It's good that way," Donald said and Jace also nodded
Nala touched Jace's hand and smiled at him
" It's okay, you can tell us everything, don't hide it again for us, we might not be able to help at least we will be able to stand by your side and share sorrows," Nala said and Jace nodded with a smile
" Oh, Kate!" Donald said, pointing at Kate who just came in the gate and Nala wanted to call her but Jace stopped her
" Don't, she will find it fishy if she saw us like this"
" Okay, let's go to the class," Donald said, and they leave.
Nala stopped on their way and went in another direction
Jace arrived in the class and saw Kate, she has already settled down and started writing something. Then he went to her and sat beside her.
" Ow!" she said, startled.
" Did I scare you? Sorry, I don't mean it" Jace said and smiled,
" You are here" Kate smiled
"Good morning" He smiled back.
"I see you are busy. What are you writing?" He asked
" I skipped one of the classes last week and I want to…"
"I understand," Jace said and smiled then Kate blushed.
Just then, Kitty arrived and saw them smiling at each other, and she bumped inside calling Jace's name. Jace stood up, shocked,
" Good morning Jace, I met a teacher now, and she told me you have yet to do your morning duties. When are you planning to do it?" Kitty said, trying to separate them
" oh right, I will go now," He said and left.
Kate saw Kitty and rushed after Jace.
" What's wrong?" Jace asked and Kate didn't say a word.
Jace smiled, knowing what she met. She fears kitty, it clearly shows on her face.
" Did you need some fresh air?" Jace asked, and she nodded, then he grabbed her hand, and they went to the rooftop.
" I will get going now, get some fresh air and go down okay?" He said, and she nodded, then he used his hand to rough his front hair
"Good girl". He smiled.
Kate blushed and smiled then he wanted to leave, but then he realized he was still holding her hand, then he released it gently and left.
" Must he always be this sweet?" She said and blushed
At the school garden, Donald was there, listening to Ghost by Justin Bieber
" And if you can't be next to me, your memory is ecstasy, I miss you more…." Then someone removed his headphones. He looked at the person abruptly and smiled upon seeing Nala.
" Here you are," she said and Donald nodded
" I see you are listening to Justin's music
" Mmm I'm into music, you know," He said with a proud expression
" I know, I know, our idol" Nala smiled
" Are you free this evening? " He asked, and it took Nala a while before she answered. She nodded, and he smiled,
" Did you want to follow me to practice and see how good I was? " He asked, and Nala hesitated for some while before she nodded with a smile. Donald stares at her, almost exploding with enthusiasm.
" Thank you, I will make sure to impress you," he said and they both smiled.
Ethan arrived at Jace's school; dressed as a student of their school and got down from the car. A smirk appeared at the corner of his lips and walked inside the building. He got to Mr. James, Ivy's class HR, through the help of some students. The teacher recognized him immediately and smiled at him, cautioning him to sit down since it was still early and the students haven't settled. Though he didn't know Ethan was related to Jace nor did he know Dave was Jace biological father. Everyone believes Datin Norman; Dave's older Brother, was Jace's father. They never knew both Dave and Datin Norman were related. All they knew was that Dave and Datin sponsored their school and since Dave agreed to transfer his son to their school, then it's not much of a problem.
Mr. James looked at Ethan who was bored the whole time he sat with him, and then he spotted a student from his class and called him then he rushed to him
" Ken, please help me to show him around, he is new here and will soon be your classmate," Mr. James said Ken nodded with a smile then he motioned Ethan to follow him, and they left the teacher's office.
After receiving some fresh air, Kate left the rooftop and walked downstairs. As she was about to finish the stairs, some groups of girls surrounded her. She was astonished, scared, and curious. Then she saw kitty coming out between them. She already knew it. She is going to do this.
"Why are you blocking my way?" Kate asked and looked at Kitty, trying to hide how scared she was.
" I clearly warned you, to stay away from Jace but you didn't listen" Kitty was fuming, then Kate smirks
"Why? Why are you so worried? Are you scared that the rumors may be true? Or Are you scared that the rumors may be true? Or are you scared that Jace will choose me over you? " Kate said and Kitty was burning with Fury,
" Are you mentally challenged? I clearly warned you, but now you have crossed the line, no going back"
" Really? Did you think I will give up on Jace just like that? Too bad, I can't, you once asked me if I like him. Yeah I do, I have loved him since childhood" Kate said with a smile and Kitty took a stone angrily and threw it at her. The stone hit her on her knee, and it started bleeding.
Kate touched her bleeding knee,
" You are not okay, are you? Did you think I'm playing with you? Or did you think I'm joking around? This is a warning, stay away from him when I'm still nice or else I will make you regret coming to this school" Kitty threatened and turned to leave.
"Never! I'm not a coward like you" Kate said, still holding her bleeding knees and one of the girls went to her and grabbed her hair
"Ahh" She groaned
" Did you have a death wish? Answer me" Kitty was beyond infuriated.
" Jace won't stand still, you know that right?" She replied instead, which only irritated and hurt her
Ken was still showing Ethan around. He took him to the sporting and exercise department. Then all of a sudden, he heard a scream from the stairs and looked at Ken. Ken shook his head, telling him not to go, but he jerked him to one side and ran there.
Kitty, who was furious, was already burning with fury, and she took another stone, wanting to throw it at her as she was annoyed by the way Kate was staring back at her, but a cold voice stopped her. It was Ethan. Kitty was angry as she shot Ethan the look, ' Who the hell are you? '
"' Won't you stop? " Ethan said icily and Kitty looked at the girl who was holding Kate, and she released her. Kate bends to her injured knees
" Who are you? " Kitty stared at him angrily,
" For me to interfere? " Ethan said and Kate looked up, the Voice sounded familiar, and she saw the obnoxious guy from that day.
" Uh, huh? " She said upon seeing him,
" Kate? " Ethan called and looked at Kitty coldly and with anger. He is not going to forgive, he is willing to tear her apart.
