Chapter 103 - Business 2

The woman was one of the many whom Tiffany had helped in the past and had continued to work with her after handing over quite a lot of shares in her company.

They had been tied together since then for as long as Tiffany held onto those shares, so it was difficult to fully ignore her.

Contact had been maintained since then, but it had usually been done by a middleman until Tiffany left the carnival.

It was around then that she had started to take more of an active role in certain things she had left to others, especially with her gaining more complex equipment to help with protecting her identity, like the voice modulator and her new body.

The woman had been one of the biggest shareholders and the CEO of a large toy company that had many factories and stores located in many cities scattered around England.

It was not the biggest corporation that existed, but it was still not one to be looked down on, as it had what it took to survive against much larger groups.

The only problem that it had ever faced was what Tiffany had helped to resolve.

That problem was related to the woman's husband, who had been cheating on her and would likely get half of the shares and other shared wealth if they got divorced.

If she was unaware of the betrayal and had no proof, then it was possible that she would have gone on being cheated on, or there would come a day when she would be divorced, or she would divorce him as a result of their relationship falling apart.

Whether she knew or not about the infidelity would not matter when it came to the division of assets was happening as it was likely that she would have no real proof of it all.

Thanks to the assistance of Tiffany back then, she had been able to catch everything before things went that far, and she was able to get a divorce using the proof that had been provided.

She won the settlement case, resulting in her keeping her assets and not having to split them with her cheating ex-husband.

If she ended up losing the settlement, then that would have left her very vulnerable in the future, as she would likely only have control over half of her original shares and would have to worry about what her ex-husband would choose to do with them.

One wrong move could end up with her being voted out of her position and others seizing control over everything she had worked hard to maintain.

The business had been passed on to her, so she would not let it be ruined by such a thing.

It was even more of a reason for her to be so grateful to her benefactor, but she was still wary of others, so she would not give up too much and would remain guarded.

Despite the passing of time with little contact, Tiffany never interfered with anything and had only started making requests.

If they were too much of a big request for her to fulfil, then she could still reject it, but what Tiffany had asked so far was not too big a request for someone like her.

Assisting with the things that Tori had been involved in with the production of the toys was considered a very small thing for her, and it could even create a new route for a profitable venture down the road, so she went along with it.

Even if it did not work out too well, she would not suffer that big if a loss and she could cut her losses before things worsened.

It was the same for the current request and the offer of a potential business opportunity that could prove to be beneficial for her should her benefactor be looking out for her.

The other person on the phone spoke again. "I will contact you once things start to develop with some useful information that could help you greatly. As for my request… I want you to look into a list of manufacturers and sellers within certain cities.

If possible, I would like you to work with them in the future or find a way to gain ownership over them."

The woman thought for a while before answering. "It seems like quite the big ask, especially if it is spread out quite widely. It depends on what exactly you want them for. The opportunity you mention has to be big to make me want to take action."

While she was grateful and wished to help out her benefactor, there was still a limit to how far she would mix personal and business relationships and other dealings.

If there was an opportunity for her, then she would take advantage of it, so long as she was able to discern whether such things told to her would be true.
