Having seen Long Hua on the live footage, Lin Song turns to Nian Yao Yao, and asks—
[Lady Nian, that just now was…-?]
[Un.]
Nodding her head, Nian Yao Yao replies—
[An Immortal. And there seems to be more than one as well. Looks like this excavation will be a stormy one. Hopefully, it doesn't end up becoming something similar to last time.]
Acting in accordance to the script that they had setup beforehand, Lin Song asks—
[…Similar to last time?]
Towards this question, Nian Yao Yao raises a sigh, and with a solemn tone, she explains—
[It's related to the most recent excavation that occurred in the ruins, which are now known as the Serpent Deity Village. Details regarding that incident will be released at a later date. For now, I will say to the non-Sinner viewers, who are watching the livestream—the threats that the Immortals bring to our world are very real. It's about time for the non-Sinners to cease their discrimination against the Sinners—who are fighting for our sake. Naturally, I don't expect this discrimination to vanish overnight. I'm sure some of us have had a Sinner kill our loved ones—making you much more hateful towards them than Immortals. However, society was the main factor that drove those Sinners to become what they are now.]
Following Nian Yao Yao's words—
[My mother was killed by a Sinner, you expect me to forgive them?]
[I was saved by a Sinner in the past, so I don't understand why they are treated so badly.]
[Tell that to my dead son.]
[If it wasn't because of a Sinner, I wouldn't have to be visiting a certain grave every year.]
Comments of conflicting opinions appeared in the official chat box, to which, Nian Yao Yao decided to leave them be.
Another reason for hosting this livestream—is to let the world know just how harsh a battle can be.
It may be contradictory at a glance, but the odds of this livestream causing further unrest against Sinners to rise are much higher—than it is expected to do the opposite, which is to cause unrest against the Immortals.
However, sometime in the near future, Nian Yao Yao intends to publicize the events that occurred in the Serpent Deity Village.
Once raw footage of that battle is shown, opinions will shift once more, and people should come to see Sinners as an integral part of surviving the future, where they are exposed to the true might of these foreign invaders upfront.
It goes without saying that showing those footages can also cause worldwide panic. But Nian Yao Yao sees that as a necessary hurdle to climb over—at this world's earliest convenience.
That being said, acquiring the military's permission to show those footages—that is a matter that Nian Yao Yao intends to deal with after taking charge of the Long Yue family; mainly by threatening them with the termination of the deal that her mother had struck with the military—to modify their soldiers into Moon Guards.
At the same time, the new Carps that NPI had created are showing promising results—in those who have partaken them.
As sales of these new Carps increase over time, Nian Yao Yao has every right to feel confident in her abilities to have more sway in this world's affairs.
"…"
Thinking of the future, another thought crosses Nian Yao Yao's mind—
(I did tell Ah Long ahead of time—to maybe cause some public unrest against the Immortals with his strength, but… I wonder how effective that would even be? I guess, time will tell?)

Leaping into the air, Yu Ji grabs a Spirit Extract leaf, and rather quickly, she presses it against her lips.
Sucking on the leaf, the colors on it fade, and upon the color's complete disappearance, Yu Ji spits it aside.
With every weapon spirit competing against each other for Spirit Extract leaves, the sound of conflict could be detected from every corner of the ancient city.
Upon landing next to Li, Yu Ji was just to take the former's hand, and leave the area, however—
"Found them!"
"Surround them!"
"Contact the others!"
The associates of Dainsfield—who are dressed in either their standardized combat attire, or a mixed bag of casual clothing, appear, causing Yu Ji to click her tongue.
Even if Dainsfield as a company is practically finished—with how bad their reputation has become, these individuals knew that they could still make a heavy load of cash by turning the two siblings in.
At the same time, if the Heaven's Blade project reaches completion, everything regarding the company's bad image can be swept under the rug—through secret dealings with the military, or some wealthy tycoon of power.
Just as Yu Ji steps forward—
"Li?"
Li does so first, and—
"Soldiers of Yu Ling Empire, as the 66th emperor of your nation, heed to my call!"
Following Li's shout, an ominous gale of wind howls, and—
*Guuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!* the entirety of the ancient city trembles in a violent manner, as ghostly figures rise from beneath the earth!
"Wh-What's going?"
"Get to the roofs!"
Simultaneously, all eyes look on in shock, as an army of lamellar armored ghosts emerge from the earth with swords and spears in hand.
Responding to Li's call, these lamellar armored ghosts raise a shrilled howl towards the snow-filled heavens!
"…"
Surprised by this actually working, Li maintains a daze-minded state, but rather quickly, she shakes her head, and shouts—
"Defeat all would-be invaders of our empire!"
Attempting to sort between friend or foe for this army of ghosts is impossible; hence, Li can only designate every single person who is in the ancient city as an enemy.
"What is going on?"
Towards Yu Ji's question, Li grabs the former's hand, and replies—
"All will be made clear in the imperial palace. Let's just hope that the secret escape way is still around."
Although she is still confused by the situation, Yu Ji allows Li to drag her along.
