Before the final round, Kaneki was practicing using the Grand Chain-sword in his waiting room swinging it around until he had an accident where he had dropped it while it was still active.
As the teeth of the Chain-sword hit the ground it kicked back and went towards Kaneki and cutting through Kaneki's arm.

Kirari: I have still have control over my weapon here, even after death I have full control of it. And it had little traces of my blood, and it had small traces of my own blood. So when you accidentally cut yourself some of my blood went into you.
Kaneki: ...
Kirari: so using that small amount of blood, I was able to hijack your body.
Drako: that explains why you fell earlier.
Kirari: I'm sorry that you have to go through that though, I did specifically asked Yuzuki to tell you about this but she didn't.

Kirari then strucked Kaneki with lightning that came out of her hands.

Kaneki began to jump in excitement after seeing his "idol" right in front of him.

Kirari: Hehe~ I guess one of your prayers have been fulfilled right?

Kirari: Of course, Yuzuki did told you that everyone else was watching over you remember? I was doing the same as everyone else in our family in the land of the dead so I heard all your prayers to me. Got to admit I was also impressed with how much you trained.
Hearing this Kaneki felt got more happy, he looked at the Higanbana girls direction and yelled.
Kaneki: Sachi! Is this what's it's like to be acknowledged by your idol!
Sachi: That's right Kaneki! Feels good doesn't it?!
Kaneki: Hehe~ WAIT A MINUTE! Why are you here in the first place? There's no way you'd come back for nothing right?
Kaneki immediately got out of his trance and questioned Kirari/Grand of her intentions.
Kirari: Finally you ask. Well to put it simply I'm here to help you out with your powers, since you don't exactly know how to use them properly yet.
Kaneki: but you don't have the-
Kirari: Same powers and abilities? Did you forget who I am?
Crack!
Kirari turned her arm into a gun to show remind Kaneki what her powers are.
Kirari: I can use the powers of all Demon Knights of the Past, Present remember?
Kaneki: Shoot! I forgot!
Kirari: so I'll be joining you in this battle, well if I'm allowed to at least. If not I'll just go give you instructions.
???: Wait seriously? She's going to fight?
???: The Strongest Demon Knight in history joining the fight? That sounds dangerous.
???: This might be an interesting fight.

Chikao: yeah and I'm actually quite curious to see how she fights.
Miku: I bet those two would do some combos and other stuff.

Many discussions about Demon Knight Grand joining the fight were being talked about, and seeing this Kotori couldn't decide on what to do, so.
"Okay then everyone in the Stadium, let's do a vote"
She decided to hold a vote.

She distributed many holographic screens showing two buttons, a red and blue button.
"This vote will determine if the last minute entry, Demon Knight Grand would join the battle. The red button means you vote for her to not join the battle and the blue one is for her to join the battle. Everyone make your decision"
Kotori given everyone time to think on what to vote and in just a few minutes the votes were done.
"Let's see"
The amount of votes were displayed on one of the Jumbotron and surprisingly.
"Wow a massive 97.5% of votes to let her join"
The amount of votes said she could join.
Kirari: Looks like we're going to be in a team Higanbana-kun.

With her now joining, the Battle is about to get a little more interesting.
"Now then everyone go back to your positions"
After everyone went back to their positions, Kaneki did something before the fight.

The Battle shall now begin.
