Chapter 88 - 88 - Dinner Talks

Teleporting from the spirit realm Levi switched back to his physical body with a satisfied smile on his face, his spirit body had leveled up by one, so the trip was worth it.

He planned to take more trips like this in the future, not only to level up his spirit body and get the next sub-ability but also to train himself and not get lazy. The physical world was way too easy for him now, if he spent too long here he might get stagnant.

With his Void monarch leveling up he could feel the barrier separating him from other realms become thinner, if all goes according to plan he would try taking his first trip to other worlds after he is done with the fire nation.

Seeing that it was still some time before dinner Levi decided to visit his siblings and Aang, it had been a while since they all sat together and had dinner, and he also wanted to see where they were with their training.

He had already left a space mark on them after he removed his blood, so he knew exactly where they were, this method was a lot better, not only was it undetectable to most people but most importantly it was a lot more hygienic also.

Instead of directly teleporting there Levi took a slow stride through the tribe, 'This might be one of the only few places untouched by the war,' he thought as he looked at the bustling atmosphere, the happy laughs, and the children playing.

Water benders were training in some squares of the northern tribe, most likely reserved for the army, and not far from them regular soldiers were finishing their day's practice, even now Levi was shocked by how many water benders there were, he even saw several kids bending water here and there.

Unfortunately, he was cursed with knowledge, he knew all of this would soon change, but he didn't know when exactly, he didn't know when Commander Zhao would commence his attack but he was ready.

Thinking of admiral Zhao Levi couldn't help but remember the Moon and Ocean spirits, only a teleportation away from him, just waiting there for him to bond with them, if he bonded with them and assimilated them he wondered what wonders would occur to his water bending.

Sadly, if he did that all water benders in the world would lose their water bending, not only would he cause irreparable damage to the world but he would also be helping the fire nation.

He didn't care about anyone besides his close ones, but that didn't mean that he would go out of his way to hurt people, especially when whatever boost he would attain from the moon and ocean spirits he could gain himself later on, he wasn't a psychopath.

AN: I know this would be asked so no, water bending can't continue to exist if he bonds with the spirits(Moon and Ocean spirit), if he did that they would die, and we have seen what happens if one of them dies, so we won't explore that road.

It wasn't until the sun was down that Levi reached his siblings' lodgings.

Knock Knock

Scrambling sounds could be heard from inside as Levi knocked, he could feel one of his space marks getting closer, the door opened revealing Aang who smiled brightly upon seeing him, "Levi, come on in, we were just about to have dinner," said the Airbender as he stepped to the side allowing Levi in.

"Well, well, well, here he is, thank you for gracing us with your presence, Your Lordship," said Sokka in a sarcastic tone as he laid on his back on the ground, only lifting his head to look at the door before bringing it back down.

"What's up with him," asked Levi in bewilderment even though he already knew the answer.

"Don't mind him, he's just bitter you get to have a big house all by yourself while we all have to share one house together," replied Katara as she stirred the food by the side, the stirring becoming more aggressive the longer she talked, for some reason Levi couldn't help but feel she also had the same grievances as Sokka even though she was trying to hide it.

"Hey Levi, don't mind them I am glad you're here," said Aang cheerfully, Momo jumped from his place beside Sokka and came to rest on Levi's shoulder, "See, even Momo missed you, isn't that right Momo?" The flying lemur only made soft squeaks in agreement with Aang's statement.

"Well excuse me for not being omniscient, I thought you got separate lodgings too," said Levi as he sat down, he lied, he knew exactly what they were given, and even if he didn't he would have concluded it when all the space marks he left on them gathered on the same place every night.

"Well we didn't get one, Your Highness," said Sokka from his place on the floor, Katara kept preparing food on the side, not speaking.

"You should just be thankful I am allowing you to have fun with that princess of yours," said Levi as he turned toward Sokka with a smirk.

"I…I didn't..how did you know, and why do you care that much anyhow? You obviously aren't interested in her," started Sokka stuttering before he regained his composure.

At his question Levi was stumped, he couldn't tell him that soon she would have to sacrifice herself to save the northern water tribe and all water benders around the world, and how hurt he would be by that and that he was trying to protect him.

"Tell me, aren't you and Suki a thing," said Levi mischievously, diverting the fire from his corner, making Sokka choke on his words as Katara shot him a sharp glance from the side, Aang just sat crossed legged watching their interactions and smiling as if he was just watching some skit on TV.

Katara was done with the food as she called them over where a table was prepared on the side, Sokka sighed in relief at Katara's timely rescue.

"So how is training going for you guys anyhow?" asked Levi.

"Master Pakku is the best," said Katara with an excited tone as she filled their dishes with food, "I am making amazing progress."

"Ha-ah, I am glad you think that Katara, he is good but I don't seem to be making as fast of progress as you," said Aang, his tone depressed, their dishes were all filled as they sat down and started eating.

"Oh it's ok Aang, I am sure you'll get there eventually," said Katara as she put her hand on Aang's shoulder comforting him. And it seems to work as Aang's expression brightens up, it always works.

"Oh, I just remembered, Pakku knows grann grann, in fact they were childhood sweethearts, can you believe that?" said Katara almost whispering as if spilling some state-level secrets.

"Ain't no way," said Sokka, whipping his head in her direction so fast he almost beheaded himself, he even stopped eating which is saying something.

Even Levi was surprised, and it showed on his face, this was such an insignificant detail in the show that he had completely forgotten about it, plus he wasn't that close to their grandmother, she had taken care of him from time to time when he was young but that as it, which made it all the more irrelevant.

"Yes way, I was just as shocked as you when he told me, he knew I was her granddaughter because of this necklace," said Katara as she pointed towards the necklace on her neck, she seemed satisfied by the reaction she got from Levi and Sokka, "He made it for her when they were young and he still remembers it to this day," she finished with a dreamy look in her eyes.

"How is your conquest of the princess going anyhow?" asked Katara in a slightly teasing tone, Sokka choked on his food hearing her, the same happened to Aang as he tried laughing at Sokka and choked on his own food.

"I can't understand girls, one moment she acts like she likes me and the next she's all cold and trying to get away from me," said Sokka in an annoyed tone when he finished choking on his food.

Levi knew it was because Princess Yue was engaged to someone else, but he wasn't going to tell him, it wouldn't last for much longer anyhow.

"Maybe she's confused. You should try to give her more time," said Katara.

"I don't know about your situation with your Princess, but if you ask me, you never take advice on how to catch fish from a fish, you take it from the fisherman," said Levi with a smile ignoring Katara's glare as it almost drilled into him.

"So we are calling women fish now are we?" said Katara as she stopped eating and crossed her arms, Levi wanted to retort that was not what he meant but Katara didn't give him the chance, "And I'll have you know, nobody knows what a woman thinks better than another woman, humph."

Hearing her Levi was speechless, partially because it kind of made sense, but he didn't want to admit it so he just kept on eating.

Silence lingered after that as the three finished their dinner in peace, Momo had his food tray by the door and they would feed Appa after they were finished, it was a peaceful atmosphere.

It was the guys turn to clean the dishes and since Levi was here he decided to help, and by that it meant he finished it in seconds with precise water-bending control leaving Katara looking at him with a complicated gaze.

"Ha-ah, what I wouldn't give to be able to do that," she said with a heavy sigh.

"I have a feeling it won't be long sister," said Levi with a smile as he walked towards her and rubbed her hair.

"You really think so?"

"I know so, and even Pakku knows that, but…don't tell him I said anything," said Levi, making Katara's face beam, 'Self-issued quest "Make Katara forget you called her a fish" completed,' thought Levi with a smile, he waited for a notification from the system but barely any came.

"Alright, it was nice hanging out with you losers again, I'll be back to my beautiful, big, spacious, comfortable, lodgings," said Levi in the most irritating way possible, making Katara and Sokka want to strangle him, all the work he did to make appease her gone to waste.

"I'll come too, I need to feed Appa. He is on the way," said Aang just as Levi was going out, he carried a heavy bag on his back and ran toward the door.

AN: Honestly Aang is just a chill guy.
