When I sensed this, the first reaction that I had was to raise my hand and gather divine energy.
I was prepared to use my attack to purify this corruption energy that was coming at me.
But before that mass of corruption energy could even reach me, there was this barrier that appeared around me.
This was a barrier of pure divine energy that stopped the corruption energy from reaching me.
This barrier of pure divine energy was quite powerful and by all rights, it should have been enough to purify the corruption energy that was in front of me. However, it didn't seem like it was able to purify that corruption energy and was only able to sting it.
Even though it should have been pure divine energy that was on a different level, it didn't seem like it with how it interacted with the corruption energy.
