I was surprised to hear her say this, but I could see that she had a confident look on her face when she said this.

I raised my hand and gathered the flames once more.
When the kid saw me do this, he started moving back again before realizing that this was wrong. After all, the direction that I raised my hand in was the direction that he was moving back in.
If he were to go that way, then he would certainly be caught up in the explosion that would happen as a result.
So the kid stood up and moved in the opposite direction.
With the way that he moved, he even went behind me as if he was using me as some kind of shield against any explosion that would happen.
I just ignored what he did and focused on gathering the flames for the spell.
But when I was done, I couldn't help looking at the teacher one last time as if to confirm that this was what she wanted.
