Suddenly, Bai Xuan trembled and then collapsed limply into Joseph's arms.
Joseph screamed in fright, "Xiao Xuan! Doctor! Quick, get a doctor..."
Chen Wenxiang, carrying a thermos, had just pushed open the door of the ward when she heard Joseph's scream. Her hand shook and the thermos fell to the floor. She turned and ran towards the nurses' station, "Doctor, help, please!"
Bai Xuan was rushed into the emergency room. Chen Wenxiang sat on the floor outside the emergency room, feeling utterly panicky.
Joseph paced restlessly.
Soon, the attending physician came out, "Family of the patient, the patient's condition is very critical. She needs a kidney transplant as soon as possible."
