To ensure that Endirius would not easily see through his plans, Rowan had not reduced his influence outside Revah's body to nothing; everything he observed came from her memory and soul.
He was aware that such a thing would leave glaring holes in his observational capabilities, but this was a shortcoming that he felt he could manage; his concern was for Endirius alone and stealing the Flame that was right in front of him, and he had disregarded the six Mages here with him.
This was a great mistake.
Six of the Mages here exploded with power equal to that of Old Ones alongside Revah, and a brief moment of surprise passed across their features as they all discovered that every one of them had kept such great secrets inside before they all turned their attention to Endirius and they attacked.
Rowan wanted to curse out in frustration. He had overlooked the greediness for power inherent in the hearts of all immortals.
