Fisher saw Valentina's face flush red, and she was continuously covering her mouth while breathing in short gasps. He thought she was feeling unwell, so he spoke up.
Unexpectedly, just as she looked up, she saw Fisher so close to her. Terrified, she shrank back into a corner of her wheelchair, as if facing some fearsome flood or fierce beast.
Her pale silver eyes seemed a bit elusive. The Fisher in front of her, dressed in a white shirt, felt to her eyes like a hot iron, too painful to keep looking at. Yet, just the sight of his sturdy body made Valentina recall the muscular lines she had seen amidst the mist, and the warmth that emanated from his body.
