All of the small moments of missing out on an opportunity that could have been used could end up being just what could cause her to fall behind to the point of being unable to deal with what was awaiting her in the future.
That was why she was always so diligent the entire time.
If she did not have the fear of the future driving her and the desire to survive, then it would have been much easier to take things a little easier.
Hearing that her time would be used up for something so wasteful of her time was not a welcome thing.
It made her very anxious since she believed that she needed to make better use of that time and that it would be taken away from her.
Perhaps she could make up for it later by putting in more effort, but she still did not feel too good about the situation.
What made her just as anxious about it all was the loss of control and the uncertainty of it all.
