There would be people who would wish to integrate themselves with the characters and get involved with future events, while others would much prefer a route that was away from them and usually far less eventful.
Each of those situations could be found in all kinds of worlds and scenarios as parts of novels and other things, but the person involved in such a world would usually find themselves involved with the original events even if they wished to stay out of it.
Ash may not have been a big fan of those kinds of genres involving knowing future knowledge or becoming a part of another world that was supposed to be a fictional world, but she had seen a couple of them.
There were all kinds of different movies, television series, comics and novels based on those types of genres, so even Ash had a little knowledge of them despite not being too deeply into them or having much time for them.
