Valerie's last chilly expression didn't go unnoticed by Adrian as he slowly stepped into the living room. Even though she attempted to remedy her frigid behaviour towards Stella, her poor acting failed miserably to conceal her resentment towards Stella.
Unknown to both ladies, Adrian and been watching and listening to their conversation on the CCTV footage in his home office. He was so pissed off with the fact that Valerie was stupidly attempting to get to him through Stella.
Also, due to the way Valerie rudely addressed Stella, Adrian's fears were confirmed that Stella might be in trouble with the Felans or just Valerie.
Consequent to the brief drama between the two ladies, Adrian could confidently say Valerie and Stella weren't friends. He could tell that Valerie had a certain leverage over Stella which she was using to blackmail her to do her bidding. However, he couldn't tell what this leverage was because neither of the ladies had said anything to give him a clue.
