Jiang Moxi couldn't be bothered to chase after Zhuang Wenjin, since he looked too timid to cause any serious trouble.
Just as Zhuang Wenjin had left, the orchard manager arrived, hearing the noise and rushing over with some farmers.
Each farmer held a hoe or an axe, scaring these sturdy men till their legs went weak.
"Miss Xi, are you alright?"
"I'm fine." Jiang Moxi tossed away the peach pit and continued to inspect the peaches on the tree without any sign of unhappiness.
The orchard manager sighed in relief, "That's good. If you'd like some peaches, I've already selected the ripest ones for you, please come with me."
Jiang Moxi nodded, then seemed to recall something, glancing at the people on the ground who were still groaning.
The orchard manager seemed to understand Jiang Moxi's concerns and told her, "You don't need to worry about them. I've already reported this to the master, and he'll be coming soon to handle it."
