Eventually I started pacing wondering why it was taking them forever. I wanted someone to give me an update on him. Harold seemed to get tired of my pacing and told me to sit. Then he walked over to the desk and spoke quietly with her. I strained to hear but I couldn't. My anxiety just grew and my pace picked up. As my uncle returned and demanded I sit yet again. The receptionist got up and hurried down the hall. Before I could question what he said to her he opened his mouth. "Lupus sit down, now. Your pace is becoming too quick." He gave me a look. "What?" Then it hit me. "Oh." I was close to using my vampire speed and to a normal human that would be odd. Can't become a lab rat. I sat down and as I did the doctor approached. I didn't even realize his presence before.
He came over to me and asked if I was the one that brought Joey in. I said that I was. "I've heard that you wanted to know how he's doing. That you've been pretty persistent about it. I want to let you know that his wounds were able to close. They will take some time to heal with time. The worrisome part is that he seems to have sustained some serious trauma and we worry for his mental health. We plan to give him the help he needs and send him to this place we think will benefit him greatly. We would like to have him go there with a relative but we can't seem to track down any of them unfortunately. He will be sent to the foster home after he seeks the proper help for his mental state at Brecovab. It's what is best for the young lad. So unless you have any further questions you may take your leave knowing he is in good hands." I leapt from my chair in anguish. "How dare you tell me to leave. No he is not in good hands. You barely looked for his real family and now you just want to send him off to some place full of strangers!" I heaved infuriated at the thought of what they were doing to him. He would be forced to hide his true self with his ears and tail for a long time. I couldn't let it happen. I had to protect him. I just had to. Uncle Harold attempted to tell me to calm down. "There is no need for such idignance Lupus." I shook my head and stared daggers at the both of them. "I will not let this happen no matter what. Stop trying to tell me what to do. Leave me the h**l alone." I said and stomped off at a fast pace down the same hallway the reciptionest went down before the doctor came in.
I was going to find Joey no matter what and we were going to leave this place. I don't know where we were going to go. But it would be better than anywhere they were going to take him. And better than anywhere my uncle would have taken me.
