"Only fifteen minutes left. Soon they will all scurry off like rats. They don't even know how futile their attempts are." The commander says to himself, watching the holo-screens carefully flicking between the current battles.
"Our dawn will arrive, this world will stand on its own two legs instead of ripping out its own throat." He says breaking away from the screens placing a hand on the glass of the chemical x vat spreading out his fingers along the pane of glass.
"Humanity will no longer be just a thing to walk over. I promise that Erik." The commander vows, reliving painful memories of the past. The hierarchy in the solar system that sickened him to his core.
"And if this world hates me for it, that's a price I'm willing to pay." He says to himself curling his fingers back up, balling his hands before walking back over to the series of holo screens, seeing the battlefield as a game of chess.
