Nan Jiaojiao stepped out of his embrace, mustered up the courage, and went back to the stove. She tried to poke around with the spatula, but it jammed on the bottom and wouldn't move.
Not understanding what went wrong, she tried harder, causing the whole pot to shift.
Bo Yanching grabbed a cloth, held the pot handle, and glanced inside, "What's wrong?"
"I..." Nan Jiaojiao was on the verge of tears, "I don't know, it won't budge."
Of course, a burnt pot wouldn't budge.
Bo Yanching held her hand, scraped a few times forcefully, and removed the burnt residue from the bottom.
"Did I mess up the steps?"
"It's not your fault; it's the pot's problem."
"..." Nan Jiaojiao felt embarrassed, but pretending to be clueless seemed even more humiliating. She choked slightly and blurted out, "Let's get a new pot tomorrow."
"Okay."
