Nan Jiaojiao was the first to notice it. She had been keeping watch, and whenever Bo Yanching showed any signs of distress, she would call Xu Shu. Together, they coordinated without panicking, slowly bringing Bo Yanching's fever down.
In his stupor, Bo Yanching struggled a few times, causing his wound to reopen, so Xu Shu changed his bandages.
They were busy until dawn, when Han Chuan came in with breakfast.
Yaen Chi left after taking a couple of bites.
Xu Shu had the day off today, so he planned to go home first, take a shower, and get some sleep.
That left only Nan Jiaojiao there.
She ate slowly, and after finishing, she cleaned up the trash and took it out.
Returning, she sat by the bedside for a while. Bo Yanching was sleeping soundly. After checking his forehead for the third time and feeling reassured, she lay on the companion bed, turned on her phone, and saw numerous missed calls and messages.
Nan Jiaojiao scrolled through them but didn't see any from Old Lady Bo.
