"Do you mind if brother sits down?"
Ye Wanting moved aside a little.
Yaen Chi had a single sofa by his feet, and there was a chaise lounge on the other side. Ye Wanting sat in the middle of a two-seater sofa; it wasn't long or wide. She sat facing forward, her feet on the sofa, knees pressed against her chest. Luckily, she was slim, curled up, making it possible for her to nestle completely into the sofa.
That sofa was probably where she felt safe.
But she still gave half of it to him.
Yaen Chi didn't say anything else. He walked over, glanced at his watch, deliberately read the time out loud to her, then grabbed a throw pillow and tucked it behind his waist, reclining against the back of the sofa.
Turning his head over, "I'm a bit tired, didn't sleep well, and since it's still dark, I'm too lazy to go back. I'll just nap here for a while."
"Okay, sure."
"You don't have to stay with me. If you want to sleep, go back to your room."
"Okay."
Couldn't she say something else?
